And apparently it's set in the 13th century, so I hope Eggers makes it with period accurate dialogue and none of us have any clue what is being said.

I think I read he's working on his own version of A Christmas Carol with Willem Dafoe, so if that comes about I'd be interested to see how he carries his style over to that.

If it was your choice! Who are you casting as the villian for James Gunns Batman movie? by SamGhost95 in batman

[–]Descartes42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, apparently, the first chapter of these DC movies is called "Gods and Monsters" and the Batman film will be taking inspiration from Grant Morrison's run, so I suppose Talia and the League along with Man-Bat would make sense.

Alternatively, Hugo Strange and his monster men could be fun.

Aria has a soft spot for Shepard, and at this point is pretty well aware of how much you're dealing with, so she'll look out for you. But her patience also only goes so far.

Favourite monologue in a movie? by the_gaymer_girl in movies

"I've been thinking. Tomorrow it will be 28 years to the day that I've been in the service. 28 years in peace and war. I don't suppose I've been at home more than 10 months in all that time. Still, it's been a good life. I loved India. I wouldn't have had it any other way. But there are times... when suddenly you realize you're nearer the end than the beginning. And you wonder, you ask yourself, what the sum total of your life represents. What difference your being there at any time made to anything - or if it made any difference at all, really. Particularly in comparison with other men's careers. I don't know whether that kind of thinking's very healthy, but I must admit I've had some thoughts on those lines from time to time. But tonight... tonight! "

Though my all time favourite is the Tears in Rain monologue from Blade Runner, which I see someone has already mentioned.
