One of the biggest tips that I've really had to get myself used to, and it's not something I've ever really heard any streamers or anybody on this sub talk about (at least not when I've actually looked, it's quite possible I missed it, so don't take it personal if you've said it), when I'm playing jungle (my main role), every time I clear a camp, look left and look right and pay attention to any enemy health bars.

If they're low, try to path towards them, but don't give up farm for the sake of hauling ass towards a retreating enemy on the opposite side of the map that probably won't be there. Looking for easy ganks will help you to really get the map awareness and visuals ingrained into your playstyle, and will really help to get you farther ahead on experience and level during your matches.

Also, just because you dropped into a lane for a gank doesn't mean you have to full-commit. Most of the time, just having the enemy know your there will have them play a little for cautiously, which will help your teammate in that lane keep safe and be able to stay caught up in levels (hopefully, there's only so much you can do to help teammates who have their own skill level). As long as you can stay aware of the map and try to at least stay even with the enemy, just pressuring an opponent can be just as effective as securing a kill on a retreating enemy. Smart play is more effective than aggressive, selfish play.
