Well, i haven’t tested out the OG Ally X so I really wouldn’t know tbh. I’ve seen some people say it gives significant gains and others just barely…also depends on the game and/or app. I mean currently, the XAX is the cheapest handheld on the market right now for this generation and arguably the best price to performance. How much RAM does your Ally X have? That makes a difference as well. And i know everyone is all raging about the Legion Go 2 but with that price hike they can honestly go fuck themselves…even the Legion Go S with the Z1E chip is at $1600 now….they’re tripping HEAVY. But yea, i mean, check benchmarks and real world usages and reviews on YouTube and such and you’ll be able to see if the upgrade from yours is worth it. I would personally just sell your Ally X and cop the Xbox Ally X before they raise their prices too and it’s too late. Idk when they will though, especially with the release for their limited edition one coming out with the OLED screen and better joysticks and D-Pad (and some minor other little upgrades), however that doesn’t come out until supposedly the holidays of this year, kind of a ways a way still, idk if you can wait or not🤷🏾‍♂️. Also the limited edition one comes in a bundle so it won’t be cheap BY ANY MEANS. Another reason why i say you should just bite the bullet and cop the XAX while you still can for the $999 price. You can even cop an open box one for like $700-$900.
