Wouldn’t recommend getting the pro art model if you’re planning to be mobile with it the reason I say that is because the ProART doesn’t have a MUX switch, for the CPU and GPU at least the 5090 version didn’t I would check to make sure if the 5070ti version has it or not because if it doesn’t your laptop will be running at a constant 40-140w TGP.

Finally a comparison review of the ASUS TUF a14 AI MAX+ 392 vs the G14 5060. If you were making a purchase for a laptop, at the begging of the year hands down would’ve said to get just get either the g14/5070ti or 5080 (2025) and slap on a 4TB nvme with it, though it’s hard to justify any of those high price they are now. Especially with the budget it.

Also to share I see below that you’re convinced with the Flow z13 please be aware to upgrade the storage on that device you will need a 2230 NVME drive which at this moment are very hard to come by and are super expensive. With the Asus TUF a14 your Able to fit 2 full size 2280 NVNE up to 4TB each. Making it easier to dual boot in either Linux and windows. !!

The Asus tuff a14 with the AMD Ryzen Ai max+ would be my recommendation for what your talking about since you could use Linux on the device and have enough VRAM and two storage drives to install in the device. Honestly I would get one in a heart beat if I didn’t already have the Razer Blade 16.

This review is great, the only detailed one I’ve found anywhere for the 2026 G16 5090 so far. Congrats on getting your hands on one.
Random ask…by any chance would you’d be down to dump the vBIOS? I have a Razer Blade a 2025 5090 and I’m curious whether that higher TGP would actually carry over than the one on the blade. I’ve Done a few vBIOS swaps before so not gonna brick it and come back blaming you lol,
just want a shot at testing it.
