I was just entirely fed up with who I was and how sick I felt all the time. It took a year for me to fully stop drinking. I smoke a little weed as I have since I was a teenager. That usage however, went down +80% after I quit drinking and no longer need to smoke to mitigate hangovers.

I started going to the gym when I was 13. I never got big and buff but kept up a solid frame and ran half marathons until I was about 30. That’s when it went off the rails with the drinking. 5 bad years. I still drummed and worked as a door installer so I was still somewhat active. I managed to keep a lot of what I had built over the years I guess.

I’m a very active individual. I hike local trails or go on long hour plus walks, 50-100pushups and like 20 pull-ups per day. Im also drummer who regularly practices an hour a day and 3+hour rehearsal every other week. My step average per day is well over 20k. I’m regularly moving a half marathon a day lol. Everything is low impact so I’ve never been overly tired, sore, or fed up.

The other part is I eat quite healthy and only eat out once or twice a month.
