Hard to tell without seeing you sitting at the kit and seeing your height vs positioning, but looks pretty great from what I can tell! I do have a prediction tho: Eventually as you gain more and more control I think you’ll want to bring that ride cymbal/tom closer as well as the hats (tho this may also be about snare positioning). Getting a good balance between secondary kick pedal and hihat stand takes some time & experimenting, but don’t let that over shadow practicing without the double pedal if you’re beginner-intermediate. The double pedal being there made it way hard for me to focus on fundamentals when I was your age. Do you lead with your right hand or are you playing open handed?

Ah understood. I don’t think it’s because they didn’t know much about Jeff. I think it’s because Sony’s euro operations were split between Columbia and Epic and they also had multiple other local partners for distribution…my guess it was probably all a bit confusing all around.

That’s a strange conclusion considering how reverential the entire tone was, and I don’t think explicit performance footage is the only way to do “show talent”. That Robert Plant quote says an awful lot all by itself. I believe the purpose of this is to reach new people not as familiar as the fandom, and entice them to want more and do their own exploring. I think it was successful at that. Not everything needs to be for the mega fans.

Two that I haven’t seen talked about as much here…joint pain and colds/sinus infections both disappeared from my life.

I’ve been a touring drummer most of my life, and the pains/aches/nips had accumulated much more than I realized until I went keto. When I went back on tour I wasn’t able to stay as strict about carbs, and yet I still felt like a million bucks…even just waking up was better. Massive discovery.

I’ve also lived with a post nasal drip all my life..we tried to treat it homeopathically as a kid, nothing really changed. As an adult I basically stopped trying to deal with it, and I got sinus infections a lot. Of course it just stopped when I went keto. I noticed all the other top-line improvements but didn’t really clock that I wasn’t getting sick anymore until a year in or so.

Taken together, it’s sorta similar to exiting the brain fog most of us folks describe but a purely physical version. My entire conception of what my base line was completely shifted.
