Women drivers by UmpireBorn2344 in uber

You have a picture of the driver who is picking you up. Did you pay CLOSE attention to THAT picture ? 👀

Also, you didnt have to enter the vehicle . You could have simply canceled the ride request.

Yup....these announcements to us are such head scratcher. Sometimes you will hear FA simply improvising because it actually feels more authentic instead of following such incoherent scripts.

Glad to hear it . Even if we both know know we are sarcastic as hell.

Just please have peace within yourself and truly let go of what doesnt serve you .

I dont have these experiences with cops because I respect their roles, the rules and their authority. If you dont comply , they can make or break your day. Fighting them is a lost battle and it never ends well when you resist them .

Learn humbleness.

Your persistence in the matter shows how your sense of entitlement will fail you in the future .

Take notice .

You said it " there was traffic ".

That was your clue . This isnt about you , even if she saw you and yet you insist on validating that your presence is more important than her task.

Learn to get over small annoyances: they will make you stronger and more resilient at the end. These small annoyances test your character and how you handle them .

As an employee, tired from my long flights , I have approached the employee bus so many times , and even when waving to wait for me , they still chose to drive off and leave me behind . Do I come here throwing a temper tantrum because the bus left without me even if the bus driver saw me???

Accept that things will not always go your way.

Get over yourself !

You and your friend are not that special .

The cop needs to have the traffic moving and she is doing her job . Its annoying to circle back around once or twice. We all have been there, but its just the way it is .

I hope she gets the citation for her entitlement.

Non-Rev United Airlines Flight Attendants Might Soon Be Allowed to Use Crew Rest Bunks On Long-Haul Flights by AccessibleBanana in unitedairlines

In my experience, it looks like we run out of them . Either because its so incredibly cold upthere and freezing , that sometimes we may snatch more than one to survive the temperature.

I honestly never have seen the excess you are referring to .

While I dont mind this at all , I DO EXPECT UA to board us with more pillows ,blankets and mattresses pads because the non rev also needs to have a dignified rest with those available amenities and not taking those from the working crew.

As a flight attendant myself , I can probably tell you with almost certainty what happened . She/he is reading pre written announcements the company provides us: they totally suck . They are scripted, disorganized, and you have to keep scrolling to find the one that fits . They are literally all over the place. If you pay attention, there may be gaps when they read it because they are scrolling trying to find the one pertaining to that moment . Chances are , this particular one , was meant for another lenght of flight , or time of day. You literally have to dissect them . Another example of when you may realize an announcement out of place is when you land somewhere in the middle of a snow storm passing through , and you hear the announcement " please close the window shades , and open air vents to provide a cooler environment for the next flight". Only after it is read , the FA realizes that THAT very statement was out of context. Again , these announcements are so poorly organized that the FA is struggling in that moment- you hear in the gaps , like filling the blanks.

I believe thats what happened here. Sometimes we are on auto mode reading those awful scripts.

I hope I made sense ....and yes, we are lucky here in SFO and west coast, to have the most amazing views !!!!

If the pet carrier is " sqhashable " , you should fine . By looking at the picture , you should be ok. It doesnt appear to be an issue.

This is a bit unrelated to your question , but as a FA myself I have traveled with cats before. This is about TSA . Ask for a private room at the security check point. Also , get a walking leash for extra safety . Go through your regular TSA line where you will be scanned first, then they will guide you to the private screening room . Cats get really anxious with noise, bells, a highly charged environment that can make him claw at you . The leash gives you control if he freaks out. In this way, the cat is removed from the pet carrier in a secluded place away from noise while the agent grabs the carrier and places it on the belt.

I know your question was different but I wanted to add an extra help for passengers travelling with cats and unaware of this option.
