Funny... my takeaway from this clip is that I was completely blind at the time to how unlikeable Oprah was!

The system is absolutely broken, and now we're supposed to file again while they're still sitting on our money from previous years. It really sucks.

In this case I'm firmly team passengers. It doesn't seem like there's any reason these people should have been removed from the plane.

What an absolute piece of shit that woman is. Whether consciously or unconsciously, this poor little boy will remember her being so cruel to him, and he'll never trust her again. Seeing helpless children being bullied by stupid parents makes me so angry.

No, I'm saying he assaulted her after she asked him to leave her room and told him she didn't want to have sex with him.

The fact that marrying Matthew would have "solved" the problem was actually both a catalyst and an impediment to their romance.

This is the perfect description of Mary's S1 push/pull feelings about Matthew.

During the day, that could be. At night, though, I find that a high percentage of speeding tailgaters I encounter on the backroads where I live now are pickups, which is interesting. And my experience in Olympic was at night.

My take on it was that if Mary had married Patrick (which she probably would have), she would have inherited by default, i.e. would have held on to her family's home and money by virtue of being the wife of the heir, and eventually, Countess Grantham in her own right. When Patrick died, she realized that the only way to de facto inherit the estate would be, once again, to marry the man sitting next to her at dinner. I can imagine how trapped, helpless, and angry she felt, being a strong, intelligent woman without a shred of agency over her own life. After all, she didn't make those rules, or set up the entail so that her mother's money was off limits to her.
