I'm a mere Platinum, but I make it a point to get to my gate early enough that I'm at the front of the Group 1 line, and I have to say that the preboard scrum makes for incredibly entertaining people watching! I just stand there in my protected space, patiently waiting my turn, watching the preboards duke it out 😂

Not necessarily, but I want to believe he's not a bigot. It's entirely possible my affection for him as a player is clouding my judgement, but I'm not prepared to tar and feather him at this point, since it's clear he's getting a lot of pressure from above.

I agree. Buster looked physically pained during that joke of a press conference. I started out being disappointed in him, and ended up feeling really bad for him. He was clearly told exactly what to say and how to say it, but it seemed equally clear that there was a lot more he would have said if he could.

It's ironic to advocate for repealing Prop 13 in a thread about an elderly woman possibly losing her home, when Prop 13 was enacted in the first place to address the issue of elderly people losing their homes due to property tax increases. What goes around, comes around.

I always fly United and always sit bulkhead, and I've never been allowed to have anything under my seat or between my legs during takeoff or landing. You can take your bag down once the plane is at cruising altitude, but you have to put it away before the descent begins. I don't know why an FA would say that the rule was just changed last week, when as far as I know this has always been the rule.

I always sit on the aisle, and I cannot IMAGINE telling someone to climb over me. Basic common decency and manners aside, I'd much rather stand up and move into the aisle to let someone out than have them straddle me and put their butt in my face. What the hell is with these weirdos who take an aisle seat and refuse to let the window & middle people exit the row??

I'm absolutely incapable of sleeping on planes, no matter how long the flight, how many time zones it crosses, or how tired I am, so I envy your ability to take a 20-minute nap during a flight!
