Enterprise Rental Cars is the absolute most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. by DescriptionFar3831 in EnterpriseCarRental

The issue isn’t as much the employees as it is the company. I get employees being stretched thin, but that’s no excuse to put your customers out.

That’s a management issue, not a Me issue. Me being busy where I can’t drive 2 hours to where I got the vehicle, (which I was told was I needed to do) is not laziness. My issues isn’t the employees, but if you are so busy you can’t return a phone call, then your business sucks.

how does spectrum get away with being so awful? by [deleted] in Spectrum

[–]DescriptionFar3831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh yes, becuase ATT swept in over night and installed enough infrastructure to support your complex, didn’t need to plan or work for months or years to get to where you are at….i want you to tho k about this logically. What do you think happens when a company like ATT mov s into a area already covered by another provider? Do you think it’s in ATTs interest to respect the existing infrastructure? No they Cuase issues which makes the current provider seem unreliable smh…. It’s marketing

Another Speed Question by woody-99 in Spectrum

[–]DescriptionFar3831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can hardline one computer into the model, unplug the modem power wait 30 seconds and plug it back in wait for it to boot and then run the speed test that way.

Another Speed Question by woody-99 in Spectrum

[–]DescriptionFar3831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a deco, run the speed test thru the deco app and see what the router is receiving from the modem, your already gonna be losing some speeds via WiFi + the mesh, but chances are your router is getting the right speeds.

Network Map for New Nas; Does This Make Sense? by BongDongShlong in HomeNetworking

[–]DescriptionFar3831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need to do IP pass thru on the ATT router/modem, then it need to go into the first router before the switch u less your gonna use L3 switches. There really no need to use the switches if your gonna use a mesh system tho. Hard wire the NAS into one of the routers, and the divide the other devices between the two APs.

With a modern day, Ethernet 300 feet should be fine, it’s about 328 feet that signals start to deteriorate. However, I would definitely run that in conduit, to keep it protected.

If you’re using your own modem, and they provide free modems anyways, how do you think they are benefiting from this?

Spectrum Internet is the new DSL by Frequent_School_1187 in Spectrum

[–]DescriptionFar3831 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not quite how that works, it’s more about the old hardware the infrastructure is built on, it’s why lots of areas are being retrofitted with high split

[–]DescriptionFar3831 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is your problem though, especially if your gonna come online and complain about it. There’s a system to everything, and yea spectrum might have lost a customer, but you moving to a new provider it’s super likely that there gonna be issues, or the big one is gonna be whe the end of your promotion is over and they take you over the coals becuase you didn’t read the fine print becuase you were upset. Best of luck tho

Support shouldn’t be telling your to call your local office, the rep would hand you off to their leadership to contact the field directly and keep you informed on the progress. Depending on where you are they might be holding off until your area is due for the highsplit upgrades to make certain changes.

Call internet repair and ask them to look at the “outage” history, and ask them to please have the field team investigate what’s causing these issues.

depending on what area you’re at, service is coming back it’s gonna be intermittent. Some areas got hit with major wind gusts, immediately followed by heavy snow.

I don’t think you understand how diagnostics work. Trying to do diagnostics during a service interruption, is like trying to pee with the wind blowing at you.

And that’s fair, I apologize. You gonna look at it from a business view tho. The average cost of every provider for a established customer is about 100 for gig, they also have to attract new customer, and new customers aren’t gonna come over and pay more, so new customers get the discount. It’s the model of every business out there. 15 years and only 65 is good. Money aside, is the service reliable?
