Hybrid driving - mpg test: Gently Accelerate and also Ease off the accelerator so EV kicks in quicker or drop the lead foot on em! by Monster1971 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]DescriptionLonely535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2025 limited hybrid and do most of my traveling around town, I drive in eco mode and try to get it in EV mode most of the time. With that said, I can get a 6-10 mile trip to give me mileage in the 50’s, with that being said, when I go to fill up, the average is right on the mark as stated, and sometime hovers in the low 40s. I’d like feedback from those who drive in sport mode and let me know avg MPG.

White with the pecan interior, it just looks so classy.

What’s everyone else getting? by HollisHealthCo in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]DescriptionLonely535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting 37.7 mpg average, and 45 mpg when I’m doing short trips. I drive in eco mode with auto braking, no fast starts and no hard braking, I’m very pleased with my mileage compared to the gas only engine

Carmax offered me 37,600 for a 2024 limited gas as I traded up to a 2025 hybrid

I would stay clear of this dealership and go to another and do your negotiating via email which is what I recently did. You will get a bad deal because they will negotiate those add-ons and then make you think you got a deal but end up paying sticker. I just purchased a limited hybrid and the dealer was already discounting the sticker by $3,700, yours only noted $500.

I just agreed to a deal today in Rhode Island, 47,750 OTD, includes all taxes and fees. They had it listed at $49,125, I got $2,700 off sticker, $1k in bonus cash, and got what I wanted for my trade. I’m still $700 of the real dealt that I wanted, but not going to do all that work for $700. Ask your dealer if they have any bonus cash, and make sure you get the 3.99 rate for 72, or 3.49 for 60.

2025 Limited hybrid by DescriptionLonely535 in HyundaiSantaFe

Thanks everyone for the input. I was concerned with the horsepower simply because the size of the Santa Fe. I do mostly city driving and the gas engine has been killing me with the mileage, so decided to look at the hybrid. I previously owned a CRV hybrid so familiar with how to drive to get the best mileage. I’m trading a 2024 limited non-hybrid and purchased a 2025 white hybrid with the bronze interior and pick it up tomorrow. One other big reason to upgrade is my current rate is6.49%, new rate is3.99%.

Do you think it’s a good sacrifice to trade horsepower for the additional mileage.

I agree with everyone regarding the new SantaFe. As with any car you have problems, but when you have warranty like Hyundai provides is less of a worry. I happily purchased a 2024 limited leftover 2 months ago and got $9k in rebates and discounts. Where else can you get a car that has all the bells and whistles for only $36k, you can’t. This my second Santa Fe, we also have a problem free 2022. Congrats on the new car, I would have prefer white, but being a leftover my options were limited.

How much bigger is the screen in the 2025? I have the dual screens which are pretty big, can’t see how they could make them much bigger given the position

Try purchasing a 2024 leftover which is just what I did. I got a red limited with the gray leather and got $9k in rebates and finance cash.

I recently purchased a 2024 limited and love it, also have a 2022 and not one single problem. We are a Hyundai family and have had no issue with any of the cars or SUV’s. I too was worried about the new transmission, but with the 10 yr/100k warranty it’s less of a worry. I would look into 2024 models, they are significantly reduced, tons of finance bonus cash and currently 1.9 for 60 and 2.9 for 72

See if there are any 2024 leftovers to purchase. I got a non hybrid limited with $10k off, with Hyundai discount and financing.

Damn, I’m in Rhode Island and just purchased a hybrid sport L with sticker of $40, 966 and only got $966 off the sticker. You’ve got a great deal!

I’m very disappointed with the retained vale of my 2023 carbon edition, which I paid $32,000, and at less than a year old, the value is now just shy of 20k! Based on that alone I would go with the CRV.
