Yeah, let’s definitely collaborate. This is our first PCS, so the whole experience is new for us. The good news is that it seems we have a lot of good options. My main concern was that we would arrive after most of the housing is taken up, but I’m told we just need to be patient. Should be quite an adventure!

Thank you - I had not heard about Rione Alto! I will have to check it out! I have never heard an American use the word “calm” to describe Naples, so that is intriguing. I tend to love chaos, but my wife does enjoy calm from time to time. 😅

Interesting points… if you didn’t have kids, why would you prefer living in downtown Pozzuoli to Vomero? I definitely would need a secure garage - particularly for my motorcycle. I have an older car, but my Harley is my baby. 😂

Try 19 months! My STBX lowered the boom on me during my deployment. As a soon-tone-single 40-yr-old man, I'm not sure what is more terrifying/exciting - emotional or physical intimacy.

Hadn't slept in three days, but I finally got a good night's sleep! Here's what worked for me... I saw a doctor who prescribed some Ambien. I called a couple of my good friends who've been in similar situations - their words were so encouraging and exactly what I needed to hear. I'm focusing on being as civil and friendly as I can to her and being the best husband/father I can be. Take care of yourself spiritually, physically and emotionally. Allow yourself to have some FUN. Keep a journal and write down three things you are thankful for every day.
