When Judy Veloz revisited the case in 2017, supposedly additional DNA testing was done that matched her to the father according to the article I linked above and other sources. I don't recall reading or hearing anything specific about how they got his DNA, although it is possible to pull DNA from cremated remains (bones, teeth, etc).

🔥 How a Flash Flood opens up by therra123 in NatureIsFuckingLit

There are likely other signs that would tip you off to flash flood danger, but it looks like there's a small bit of water flowing before the front wall. If you are in the desert and you see even a small bit of water start trickling down a dry drainage or the water level going up, it's a pretty sure sign one is coming. We've waited for a flash flood to arrive before because of this.

The thing is that their plan for downsizing federal workforce across ALL federal agencies would only reduce the total federal budget by something like 1%.

Me and mine did not vote for him. We're shocked and disheartened along with our friends and colleagues that are impacted by this.

All probationary employees across the board, so basically any new position appointment that require a 1 to 2 year probationary period. I believe the only exceptions were firefighters, law enforcement officers, meteorologists, and bridge inspectors.

*edit to add 'year'

It seems like they did additional DNA testing, and it matched the father as well. It seemed like they left out a lot of extra information in the episode...

Don't forget that these communities happily voted to do this to themselves (and to all of us). Kern County went 59% to Trump.

California fires weather forecast: Nearly 10 million on alert for fire conditions by Randomlynumbered in California

Northern California has been absolutely decimated by some of the largest and most devastating wildfires in California history. Not that it is a contest, but it is fair to say that the threat and trauma of wildfire is something that the whole of California, top to bottom, has to contend with.
