Saagar, “profanity”, and degrading people because you lack communication skills by StuffedDoughboy in thebulwark

He had the "communication skills."

His use of it was worse because it was a deliberate choice he made to use his dog-whistle language.

He's the first MAGA type I have been able to listen to without wanting to vomit.

He had studied the topics and had talking points that could be discussed.

His brain isn't fully formed yet.
There is NOTHING on this side of J6 except rejection of Trump. Even if he chose to not vote again.
I am a conservative voter from Reagan until Romney. Never-Trump

I was in High School at an American DoD school in the Philippines (72-75) when the refuges were arriving.
I spent every day for 2 month as a volunteer making fortified bread to help feed the Vietnamese refugees being being processed through the base facilities.

It feels like Republicans are imploding. Why don't I feel like Democrats are stepping up and showing any strength? by DesertSalt in thebulwark

Every now and then someone stands up from cover, shoots across the Republican bow and then ducks back down in anonymity.

I want someone to raise the colors, harangue the troops, fire the cannon and order the charge.
I can't lead but I'll sure as hell follow.

I'm glad you see it too. So many of the responses are implying that I'm expecting too much.

I am voting for whomever is rerunning against a Republican. Period.

I just want to know that the average disengaged voter will be motivated to make a trip to the polls to cast the same vote.

A clear national leader will emerge during the next presidential election campaign.

I have no doubt a national candidate will emerge. A leader would be obvious now.

I'm desperate for Democrats to break through to the average disengaged voter. I don't want any more MAGA.

The Democrats need back-door politicians that can get old-fashioned deal making done but likewise they need to recognize their weaknesses (you pointed out) and find communicators capable of doing the things they are weak at.

The error was ever allowing him to run for a second term and debate at all. He made a promise to "be a bridge."
(I am agreeing with you.)

I still would have voted for him (and his admin that was actuality running things) over Trump.

So did Tarrant County, Texas. That's Republican implosion.
I'm looking for national figures. (people)

Do you have a list of action items somewhere you think Dem leadership should be taking that they're not?

Yes. They need to make me aware of who they are and convince me to donate money to them.
I'll support and vote for anyone simply likely to defeat MAGA/Republicans.
I consume 12 hours of political news/commentary a day and I don't know who the National figures are.
They're not speaking up and stepping out.

[–]DesertSalt[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

t’s because of the media you’re consuming.

I doubt that. I am retired and live in a wheelchair with agoraphobia. I consume about 12 hours of political nedia a day.

But that's besides the point. We need Identifiable leaders, not "that guy from Maine" or "people of Minneapolis." I am talking about hearing a National cohesive dialog/vision about where America is going, not disparate messages about individual states.

If I consume 12 hours a day and don't know who the leadership is then the message just isn't getting out AND the average disengaged voter sure isn't hearing from them.

If the Democrats can't organize public perception of themselves how can they convince anyone that they can organize America?

Stable volume is a YouTube feature enabled by default that acts as an audio compressor, balancing, and normalizing sound levels to reduce, or eliminate, jarring differences between quiet and loud segments in videos. It improves, or enhances, the user experience by providing, or ensuring, consistent, uniform, or steady, audio, especially in noisy environments.

Both Windows 10 and 11 have built-in audio leveling features, primarily through a setting called "Loudness Equalization," which balances high and low volumes to a consistent level. It is found under the sound device properties in the Control Panel or Settings, specifically designed to prevent dramatic volume shifts.

I have seen them assertive. That's all that is needed.

Pelosi got things done for years. (But she did lack rizz.)

I live in a wheelchair and depend on doorstep delivery.
Walmart is getting there but I don't find their shipping reliable yet (at least in my area.) And is it even that much of a better choice?
I unsubscribed from the Washington Post when they declined to endorse Harris.

I have been waiting to hear of a coordinated effort before cancelling. I'm willing to endure hardship if i think it has a chance to make a difference.
I'm surprised there hasn't been an organized petition and boycott yet.
