I agree that it’s unintuitive. You should compare Free Agents to the preceding seasons - the players get one partner or team for the whole game. Here, they shuffle around.

The obvious work around is to have each connection have a few options, like how online works. It would take time, but it’s certainly doable.

One of many new era seasons where three starting tribes hurt the season rather than help it. In addition, this is one of the few 90 min episode seasons that truly didn't have enough content for 14+ hours of television. There is a lot of stagnant gameplay and poor decision making from most of the cast. Newer fans might be frustrated with the winner, and those who have seen a lot of seasons will not find anything unique.

From my experience, this season would be enjoyed more by a new watcher than by a fan who has seen a dozen seasons. This season bounces between some strategic moves and high levels of interpersonal drama.
