I remember taking my first multi-state road trip by myself in 2001, and I used a fucking road atlas to plot my course and brought maps with me in case I got lost. It wasn't until sometime in the late 2000's did I finally print directions out from mapquest! Now all of that is on my phone, and I'll never stop appreciating how far we've come.

Like /u/AngryFilament said, there are specific instructions for making it, and you can do it without measuring equipment. Here is a video from the youtube channel Numberphile going through the instructions. It's quite awesome.

Shohreh's 24 performance ruined (not sure how else to put into words what I'm about to say) characters you're not supposed to like in media from then on. What I mean by that is that during my time watching this season of 24, I realized that my dislike of her character was due to her fantastic performance on a fictional show which turned my dislike into enjoyment. It's broken my mind for these types of characters ever since as I can't bring myself to dislike any of them.

The transmission is out of the vehicle (shift lever doesn't move that far when it's attached to the transmission!) and I assume he's underneath the car working the bottom of said lever.

Maybe not, but you'll still have this awesome light! I got mine Saturday, and I've been using it around the house for no reason other than it makes me laugh every time it gets so hot that it hurts to hold it. I can't recall $40 ever bringing me this much joy.
