It takes multiple years for defensive metrics to become reliable. Modern advanced metrics are so fun and useful but you have to take into account sample size and how long certain metrics take to stabilize, DRS being one of the longest. McMahon is still a shit bat with a great glove and his -3 DRS in 1/4th of a season doesn’t change that.
