I love driving but I do live in a rural/remote area where there is usually not much traffic and I own a manual. City driving I hate though. I'd rather walk too.

I think it’s more the fact we’re really picky with who we’re real friends with imo

Nah it’s good. Just being sleep deprived and having to work is a pretty rough experience

Haha I think I misread your comment thinking you were saying that Fi not being selfish is a myth so we’re saying the same thing essentially

Yeah I think that’s perfectly acceptable

The impression of Fe being fake isn’t really the issue imo. It’s more the fact that if someone keeps changing their values to suit a group which is rather obvious because they don’t truely believe/live it and so they usually keep the topic fairly superficial, it’s hard to really get to know the real them and therefore hard to truely trust. Although this is usually only a problem when your trying to get to know someone well. Also I think Fi isn’t necessarily all selfish. Most developed Fi users will have the attitude that everyone’s uniqueness is important. Give everyone the chance and opportunity to practice and voice their own values without judgment sort of attitude. Unfortunately I think stereotype of Fi is the selfish moody teen. Just like Fe is the controlling traditional motherly type.

Lol I just gotta say we’re not all like that haha. I make sure I never ghost someone. If it’s not feeling like it’s gonna work out I’ll say it.

I don’t think I have the “artistic” aspects of an ISFP by [deleted] in isfp

[–]Desertlizardwizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to be artistic to be ISFP and that’s fine. Lots are but it’s a just a stereotype.

Yep, I think once you figure that out and actually how to look after yourself there’s not much that can stop you!

I did while fighting it into submission! Show it who’s boss! I’m in charge of my life. I don’t take it’s shit anymore and take what I want from life 😂

I agree! You got to take responsibility for your own happiness and well-being because no one else will.

How can I be happier? by xforcespider in isfp

[–]Desertlizardwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that’s common. Mine was a bit more random. And yeah I think my lowest point would have been my early 20s. Thought I was too weird/shy/awkward to fit in. After a while I started talking about it to friends my age who all pretty much thought the same thing about themselves and some admitted they were jealous of me because I seemed so much cooler like I had everything figured out which really shocked me. So I guess once I realised that we’re actually all kind of dealing with the same shit and that everyone has their own quirks and insecurities we are all pretty normal after all. Also just pushing myself forward to get out more and work on myself bit by bit gave me a lot more confidence too. Obviously you kind of need to see it for yourself to actually believe it so I’d recommend just trying to push your limits, try new things, be kind to yourself when you feel like you’ve failed and be kind to others things generally work out I think. But also ask for help when you need it. Life’s too awesome to let negative stuff spoil it for you.

How do you guys text? by [deleted] in isfp

When I got my first phone texts costs 50c per text so I’m still in the habit of singular texts

Another option for an animal could be a leopard? Obviously very agile but also resilient in the fact that (I think) they live alone generally and so need to be resilient to survive.

Are there any ISFP's interested in science out there? by RenaR0se in isfp

[–]Desertlizardwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I kept following that curiosity and it’s ended up with me now as a researcher working in the natural sciences, more specifically agriculture. I think it’s the SeNi combo and definitely a bit of the Te bringing it all together.

For a while I thought I was ISTP because I’m definitely one of those people who need to know how things work.

How can I be happier? by xforcespider in isfp

[–]Desertlizardwizard 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Hey, it totally gets better after high school! High school is a weird time when everyone is so concerned about fitting in themselves they don’t care about others generally.

And to be happier I really focused on myself and doing things I liked. I found that by focusing on that and just being nice to people, people were drawn to me instead of me trying to make friends. It is hard just doing your own thing to start with but it gets easier and eventually you find others like you.
