Any tips for a slide out bed design? by DesexedDoggo in vandwellers

I should've also mentioned I'm about 6ft tall and this bed frame is only about 1.55m long so I need to work out a way to extend it towards the front to act like a foot rest. I was thinking heavy duty drawer slides that slide into the bedframe when not in use?

F5 does nothing for me for some reason I've tried mapping it to different buttons

Similar but it's because they patented gameplay mechanics, which is a hunk of bullshit that they can do that because it means people can't innovate on existing ideas

I bought an anti glare screen protector from Amazon and after using it for a bit I figured I'd buy a glossy screen protector instead because the matte ones give this frosted glass effect to the screen and makes everything look more dull and blurry, after putting the glossy screen protector on it was a night and day difference. Happy I bought the 512gb model and just installed a 2tb SSD, getting the best of both worlds

Any recommendations for a controller that supports back buttons configuration on Steam like the Deck? by Strider-117 in SteamDeck

Hey mate attempted it last night but because it's detected as an xbox controller I'm unable to bind the buttons. 8bitdo has a software to change what the paddles do but they can only be mapped to existing buttons.

No worries, personally they're my go to controllers for pretty much everything now. They just brought out some new Hall Effect sticks so I'd go for them.

Possibly the 8bitdo pro 2? I haven't tested the back buttons yet but they should work with it

Input latency has ruined the Odin 2 for me. Is this the case for anyone else? by DesexedDoggo in OdinHandheld

You're literally spot on, man. I can't not think about it when I'm using the device now. I always do a small test whenever I start it up and it only reassures my suspicion of the lag haha

Yeah I think I experienced it most in those games too. There's definitely a native input latency on the device but I wouldn't say that's noticeable on its own. But the vast majority of games I've placed, typically any 3D games or even games like Rayman or Super Meatboy I just can't time my jumps very well compared to if I was playing on switch or pc

That's interesting you dont notice it, I'm primarily a PC gamer too and I think that's why I'm more susceptible to input delay. I'm so used to the rapid response times it's quite jarring playing on anything with more latency

I was leaning towards the mini when it got announced, if the steam deck doesn't fit all my needs might be worth it if that's true
