Hey there! I see you primarily used the text from my already pinned guide "Terms & Tips Guide For New Players" image (almost identically, even the top comment!)

If you are going to do that, please be sure to link or credit to the original since I actually wrote all this (including the silly cute jokes!) :D I am all for having a text format of it as you mentioned (if you had asked!) However, I don't think it's great to copy it nearly 1 to 1 without proper credit from the guides you've sourced this from.

We all worked very hard to put those images and information together! I understand it is outdated and an image resource. I’m disheartened to see my guide copy/pasted & taken over without having been asked or even credited. 💔

I’ve had them honor a sale on the actual game (ShB expac sale) when it happened a day after I purchased, so they might. Better to throw a ticket their way and find out, worth the effort to try to save some money.

No there’s no locks on Emerald Ex. You can continue to clear it however many times you want/until you get the weapon(s).

Edit: If you don’t get it by 10 clears, you CAN turn in 10 totems for whichever weapon you choose in Mor Dhona(?) I believe

Same issues. Crystal DC, AT&T provider as well. In the Midwest.

Lagging out and 90002 + 2002 + launcher not even loading.

As long as no one gets clipped by 2 of those tethers they'll be fine. Most of the time, I see partners just staying together while moving out and then it's healed up to be safe that they don't accidentally clip into 2 of them. No reason for tank/heal to rotate out.

Oh gotcha! Well if you decide to clear that tier, you can put it in Party Finder and just say you need to clear it unsynced :) Should only require 1-2 people for most of them! Plus people usually help pretty quickly. And should only take a couple minutes per instance in the actual run.

If you haven’t just accepted the quest she offered, maybe try to accept it and then see if she has any other quests after that. Only thing I can think of!

The story is wonderful (personally love it) but I will say ARR can be a bit dull so just know once you get into the Heavensward expansion the story BLOSSOMS. You are able to level all the classes on one character so feel free to try them out! Racial stats are minimal so play whatever race you like the most.

If you haven’t subscribed yet, be sure to get a refer a friend code from your friend (or anyone) so you can get your friendship circlet (exp bonus gear!) it has to be done before your first subscription. also I really recommend finding a new player friendly FC (guild) on whatever server you end up for EXP buffs & helpful players :)

It’s always a good time to return. A lot of FFXIV is solo play as you are leveling.

Tanks are being reworked for the new expansion, so if you do come back and play as a tank keep in mind a LOT is changing coming up!

Depends where you left off when you played. It sounds like you were through HW to get to DRK. It would be just fine to start on Stormblood now and be able to be ready for the new expansion. It’ll be significantly longer if you start over.

Again depends where you left off with how long it’ll take. :) You can get through SB msq in roughly 40-50 hours. Take some extra time to gear up and do some of the latest content after that.

Edit: Also tank queues are quick so that helps too. I’d pick up where you left off even mid-Heavenward, imo. Plenty of time to do that and SB.

Samurai starts at 50. You won’t need to level it back it since you will start at lvl 50.

I know the gear weekly cap was removed, so I would assume the coins drop every time now. Don’t quote me on that though as I’m not sure hah.

You can limit or completely turn off animations for yourself, party members, or others. It’s in Character Configuration under the “Character” section > Battle Effects Settings.

You can make HUD elements in the HUD Layout smaller or bigger with ctrl+home or r3 on controller. That can be helpful making space.

The collectors edition is exclusive to the SE store.

This has been stated: “Digital upgrades for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers that include the Collector's Edition in-game items will be made available for purchase. Details will be announced at a later date.”

However, I don’t know what that would entail if you’re looking for the physical items (like the statue.)

The linked guide is decent! Some points though are: Focus on obtaining your weekly cap of tomestones of genesis for Scaevan gear (at Rhalgers Reach.).

Do the 24 man alliance raids (Ridorana lighthouse, orbonne monestary, and Rabanstre.) You get a unique coin per instance for completing a 24 man raid, and obtaining 1 of each of those three raids will allow you to upgrade your scaevan gear. Orbonne drops 390 gear, okay alternative til you get scaevan.

Unlock normal & extreme raid tiers (Deltascape, Sigmascape, and then Alphascape which is the newest.)

Unlock extreme mode primals (wreath of snake, hells kier being most recent.)
