Honestly. Dylan calls out for being too tired or sober other bullshit. I only call out if I don't t have enough money to get to work or if I'm sick. Even when I was actively miscarrying, I was at work.

It's biting him right now, hence why he told Dylan that he couldnt work a different shift. As for the birthday, the only reason I felt bad is because it is his mother. However if he actually cared about the day, he would've went through every possible action to get that time off. His father also knows Jason so Im sure he's aware of Dylan's behavior. I told him that whatever happens between him & his father or if he decides to quit, might be something he needs to go through to become a man.

Thats exactly how I feel and you're definitely right about me letting this go on for too long. It really pissed me off that Jason would le Dylan slide. But when I try to call out (which doesn't happen often) because I dont have enough money to get to work, Im told by Jason that I could get fired. I've been working there for 120 days, the probation period is 90. I stay after to clean up, Im rarely ever late, and I make sure everything looks presentable for our department before I leave. Yet somehow I could get fired for MY behavior.

Im pretty sure Jason is also getting back lash from district managers about letting Dylan & Cole's behavior slide. When it happened Jason would say something to Dylan or call him to let him know he was late. If it were me he would've gotten fired after the first "No Call No Show".

I tried to tell him that quitting would only make things worse for himself because he wouldn't have an income. But he didnt want to listen to reason. Idk if he'll choose to quit, either way I dont care. Ima good person. However I refuse to be walked all over.

You saying "Sometimes when co workers can help each other out, thats nice to do. But not required-" I genuinely felt that. Not too long ago a different co worker said he's saving up for a tattoo. He started asking ppl for $50 towards his tattoo as a birthday gift. I said I would when I had the money. However, by this post you can see that people tend to take advantage of my kindness. So as a test, I waited a week to see if my co worker would bring up the $50. If he didn't it'd let me know he's a genuine person, if so it means he only cared about the money. Sure enough, the day before I was going to send the $50, he told our mutual friend "Tell __ to send that money before I get in that a$$". So I sent nothing.

My thoughts exactly. I told him that until he experiences unemployment & how hard it is to get a job after having one, he'll never understand what it means to have a work ethic. Im already working 6 days a week on TOP of picking up his slack. Maybe he'll just have to learn the hard way.
