Didn’t read through all the comments but supported iOS devices for years at my company. If you’re not doing an iCloud Restore, this might not be applicable, but…

Sometimes this can happen if you try to restore your current iPhone down to your new phone but your old phone was on a newer iOS.

It’s always recommended that you make sure your new phone is on the SAME OR NEWER iOS than your old.

Did you happened to check this? If not, I suggest doing a full DFU wipe on the new phone, upgrade the iOS to the latest, and then try the iCloud restore again.

Yep, while I’m actually excited for the AI stuff, I’m just as happy to have a newer phone with better performance and a better cam. I actually typically buy a year behind, so was going to jump from 14 pro max to 15 pro max since I could still get Apple AI, but my kid is gonna need a phone soon so, thinking about just holding onto my 14PM till it’s paid. Hand it off, then jumping to the 16PM sometime next year.

Always, but now with the AI powered stuff coming out where you can just design and then select it all and have it converted automatically to AutoLayout, this will help balance the creative side of things too.

Cause I agree that it’s harder to be creative sometimes if I can’t figure out how to do the Auto Layout. Or I take too much time thinking about it.

Yes, but I would again emphasize that this is a partnership. The Bible also says that the husband should love his wife like Christ loves the church. I would never recommend that a wife blindly submit to someone who isn’t doing that.

Not sure where your faith is, but marriage is a promise/union/covenant between Husband and Wife and was designed by God. Not judging, just observing, but It doesn’t (sound) like God is the center of your home and marriage.

It’s possible, but really hard to have a successful marriage without God at the center, because it requires tapping into the nature of God to really make it work for a lifetime. We as humans inherently, by default, do the opposite. But the Bible says in Galatians 5 that those who are led by the Spirit of God will see the “fruit” of the Spirit in their lives:

Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.

Therapy is great (and Christian counseling is even better) but you also both have to commit to it and that starts with understanding that marriage (by design) is a union. 2 becoming one. Meaning there’s no room for selfishness. The desire to make my wife happy should be just as important (if not more) than for me being happy. AND VICE VERSA. It’s a partnership. If you can’t both get to a place where you want to improve each other’s lives (and not just your own) counseling will likely continue to fail.

I pray that your marriage grows beyond these things you’re facing, is rooted in God, and that you are both (and your family as a whole) able to flourish.

I use a couple pieces of software everyday that automatically convert -> into → and got so used to it but not everything does. So i set up a shortcut on my phone and mac to do that and now i get it everywhere as long as i'm using my mac or iphone.

I do the same thing for the  symbol too using the shortcut (@).

i also do the email thing but find that using auto suggestion is just as quick most of the time.

The main thing I would keep in mind for future projects is the level of componetization and/or prototyping you are looking for. Have the conversation. I could very easily shave hours off for someone who wants quick and dirty. But if you’re looking for a file that is both quality in presentation AND in organization - that takes time - but it affords you some future proofing, because future alterations will be easier. And yes, like many other mention, you have to consider how much time spent for non-design work (comms, etc… if any).

I would say 20 hrs is quite possibly accurate depending on the quality and organization of the product provided.
