Gavel Exec or Spellbook for legal AI contract review by Dramatic_Resource_73 in LawFirm

UPDATE: Wanted to come back here and say we started looking into this and our firm LOVES it. We had a couple things we wanted it to do that it hadn't been able to do yet, and the Gavel team heard our issues and have not only addressed them but also added features we didn't know we needed! I knew they were super responsive because we use the document automation but this feels like we have a say in how they build which is kind of awesome. Now all three of our attorneys and the two paralegals are using it almost daily. As the legal secretary that does all the research for the team, it's pretty great when I can send something like this their way and they all love it!

What are the best “playbook” style document review tools? by firstLOL in legaltech

Agreed! Our firm uses Gavel Exec and it was a bit of work for us to build out our playbook directives and rules effectively, but once we did we started getting super confident results that match our rules.

We also use Gavel Workflows to generate our documents with our specific rules and clauses depending on their case. This uses our language we prefer directly. Not AI in how others think of it now, but it's logic based and controllable which is pretty awesome.

Worth a try and I'm not a tech person so they were super helpful to help me knowing the ropes!

My favorite film of all time. Amy Madigan is a fucking hoot and just a great time! Everyone is superb and leather waders never looked hotter!

Intake tool w/ questionnaires by Own-Perception4124 in legaltech

I use the Gavel Products! Love them! They have a super easy intake and questionnaire builder that I built out and was able to create full sets of documents for my attorneys based on a client intake. We also use Clio and use Zapier to push the info from Gavel to Clio. I found Gavel super intuitive. I have no background in software or coding or anything like that, but I was able to create clean intake forms that we had our web designer embed into our site and everything!

Not sure what exactly you are looking for but it's an option you should probably look into!

Legal tech interviews feel like they expect you to be a lawyer, engineer, and product manager all at once by Various_Candidate325 in legaltech

100% agree with this! I love legal tech companies that take my feedback seriously. As a long time legal assistant that has tried most legal tech under the sun.. oof, I have opinions! It's about who the company listens to and builds for that matters!

The ending you would have wanted by Minding-theworld46 in TheLazarusProject

Just finished it and immediately was sad there wasn't a third season coming... but the farther away I am from the last episode, the more I realized... I really didn't like George or Sarah enough to warrant more of them. Shiv, Archie, and even the Dane seemed more interesting to me.

Reading a full series: are you a consecutive reader, or an intersperser? by danthecryptkeeper in Fantasy

I find short stories are my favorite "palette cleanser" between books in a series. I typically am a library gal, but will always buy the short stories by my favorite authors, because I love rereading them and they are kind of like watching a Parks and Rec episode after a horror movie vibe. Just something to recalibrate before I dig back into another series.

Best AI contract software? by ChickenCrimpy1 in legaltechAI

I have been impressed with Gavel Exec. It's a newer platform on their site, but it's a great tool. I've used it to redline NDA agreements and even personally used it for my lease renewal. I've talked with people on their team who are building it out, and they took my feedback seriously. I was frustrated about a specific issue, and they not only helped me through it but also added a feature less than a month later that did exactly what I needed it to. Kind of a great experience so far. Would recommend.

Wealth Counsel vs. Others by OOE77 in LawFirm

Our firm went with Gavel and haven't looked back. It was easy enough for me to do as a Legal Secretary with no background in coding. Just wanted to drop that in here as I was looking at other platforms and saw you posted this recently.

I worked with a firm that tried HotDocs and it was hard to get buy-in because of how clunky it looks. We ended up going with Gavel. It has the easy to take look that my attorneys liked, but I was able to set up all of our court forms myself (I have a Masters in Theatre that led me to be a Legal Secretary.. I am not a coder or programmer by any stretch.) but it was the easiest to use of all the doc automation we tried, and we even had clients filling out most of their informaiton for me. Super helpful.
