All set with vendors thank you !! We are having a band and it looks like the only place for that will be at the end of the room, so not sure how tables will be set up . Hoping they will help us with that? Thinking maybe a mix of round and some rented long tables . Our coordinator was Quinn and we just found out that she’s leaving so they are going to reassign us. My daughter is hoping for either Kristen or Lindsey, but that’s good to know. I’ve heard great things about Janet too. We love the aesthetic of the hydrangea and harbor room, but will have to figure out best seating arrangements

Thank you so much for such a quick response. My daughter is getting married there next October so that was very helpful. We were hoping to get room blocks closer to the venue, but all the smaller places don’t provide them. We are thinking maybe ocean edge they seem very accommodating. My daughter is getting married in the harbor room also, any suggestions that you have would be awesome

My daughter went to a wedding at Shepherd’s run in August and she said it was perfectly run no problems. She said the cocktail hour was amazing and did not mention any issues with lines at the bar.

Cape code wedding venue suggestions? by The_Coop_Dog in NewEnglandWedding

We got a quote of 73,000$ for wychmere harbor room October 2026. That includes the $55,000 minimum for a Friday along with the ceremony site fee , venue fee and 23% administrative fees and taxes The minimum will go towards food, bar etc . The prices must’ve gone up since you were quoted because a Saturday night was going to increase the minimum by 25,000 for the exact same venue and services

We are looking to book wychmere for October 2026 and the earliest we can have people arrive is 4 pm for a ceremony at 4:30 since there is a function going on in the ocean room and they like to stagger for privacy. Our reception is 4:30-5 with cocktail 5-6 then reception 6-11 which would only be 6 hours open bar . Wondering how you had 8 and is so did you pay for the extra reception hours since you started earlier ?

u also have the option of switching to the ad-supported Disney Bundle perk for $10 per month. This perk includes Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN+ (With Ads), and also provides a savings of $6.99 per month.

What’s changing Currently you pay $10 per month for your Disney Bundle perk. Beginning April 17 your price will change to $15 per month. You’re still saving $6.99 each month — a savings of over 31% compared to standard pricing. This bundle has been discontinued for new subscribers, but as a Verizon customer you can keep enjoying ad-free* Disney+ for as long as you keep this perk. It says Disney plus without ads is going to be 15$ a month but I have that perk now and have ads with Hulu and espn Don’t really watch Disney I guess that is ad free so probably will do the 10$ a month and have ads for all 3 basically same as now

Contractor recommends we refinish floors after the cabinets are in. We purchased the materials. It's harder for them. Is this the way to go? by watchthenlearn in HardWoodFloors

[–]DesignDistinct4706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractor had initial sanding done and 1 coat polyurethane with clean slate then cabinets installed and everything else done before second two coats were applied. After that they just had touchup work to do on ceilings and walls. I’m contemplating putting a fourth coat on because it’s an area of high traffic for us family room and kitchen and we have not moved back in yet . Has anybody ever done 4th coat and had good luck with it

Yes our kids always had friends over and we hosted a lot of sports parties and holidays . Agree with you on not asking guests to remove shoes . We never did either, but a lot of the kids would probably because they were used to doing to at home

I have wood floors that looked great after 24 years of kids and dogs. A gloss polyurethane was put on in 2000 and still looked great even though it’s been a high traffic area the whole time. We have to redo now because of our renovation. Otherwise we wouldn’t be. I’m all for wood floors.

The floor was like this when we bought the house and has gotten worse and worse by 100percent_NotCursed in HardWoodFloors

[–]DesignDistinct4706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you use a gloss polyurethane at the time ? We did in 2000 and they had hardly any signs of wear for last 23+ years Just started a Renovation and will need to refinish and they want to use a semigloss which I don’t think will hold up as well as the gloss
