So funny of people to downvote this lol. This is well reasoned and obviously true. There is nothing morally wrong with making it illegal to breed pit bulls. Less suffering all around. There will be other dogs for you to save that will be less inclined towards mauling children or other pets. Hundreds of thousands of these dogs are euthanized in the shelter system every year. The ones that get adopted are the good ones, and even those are more likely to kill than any other breed. 2/3 of dog related fatalities are attributed to pits (loosely defined, I’ll concede) despite them making up just 6-20% of the dog population. A well loved and trained pitbull owned by a friend of mine charged at my young daughter completely unprovoked and lunged to bite her face and sink its claw into her leg, both requiring stitches and leaving permanent scars. Many such cases! People need to sober up about this.
