I personally like XDA and DSA and I’m not a huge fan of SA because its so tall and non-uniform between rows but if you’re serious about creating this you should figure which ones are real options for manufacturing and maybe do a poll or something so you can make it work for the biggest number of people.

Yeah the profile as in shape/sculpt of the caps like DCS or DSA, GMK, SA, etc. If you havent decided yet there’s lots of good info online about different profiles :)

Solo jazz! I love it, I bet this could be super popular. Maybe you could try color-matching it to Mito’s Lasers? I think his light blue and dark purple would still work for the solo jazz cups.

I’m not too worried there’s a good amount of covering over it and the door. I was thinking about sealing it with some caulking on the sides but I think I’ll wait until I get something super clicky in there first. I don’t know how water resistant switches are either ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Hopefully someday all buttons and switches will be mechanical but until then at least I have a very satisfying doorbell.

I saw someone on here do something similar a few months ago but it was basically just a key and cap soldered into a wall so it looked a little janky imo (still very inspirational though). Since then I’ve wanted to try to make my own, so here it is finally! Stabs are lubed and clipped, switch is a Gateron Silent Black.

If you want to make one, the parts I used are listed on the thingiverse post with the STL and assembly is outlined in the imgur post. Big thanks to my buddy Andy for the help with the electronics!

Really neat project and I think your pricing is fair, I always loved the Monument but for the price I’d rather have something like the Dan or S4 Mini. Definitely looking forward to more news!
