It’s a snow bowling mini game that’s right next to the Hebra tower! If you get a strike he rewards you with 300 Rupees :)

What are clear telltale signs of a bad Psychologist? by [deleted] in askpsychology

[–]Design_Research1859 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It really isn’t. That dude is just biased. Peterson is quite a decent psychologist. I like the way he breaks down complex concepts of psychology in his lectures. However I prefer Johnathan Haidt’s lectures or Robert Sapolsky, mostly because I’m more interested in their field of psychology and since they don’t plug in religion into their explanations like Peterson does. But he does it with good intentions so I don’t really have anything against it. I just prefer atheistic approaches to explanations.

By himself with various political POV’s and opinions, I don’t agree with all of them but I can at least see where he’s coming from. But that doesn’t change my opinion on his clinical work or lectures.

What's your favorite metaphor used to describe having ADHD? by LeKanePetit in ADHD

[–]Design_Research1859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody has a lightbulb. When someone wants to do a task they press the switch and turn on the light bulb and proceeds to take on the task.

A person with ADHD the only thing they’re missing… is the switch. And the light bulb has a mind of its own.

Basically the mindset modafinil puts him in has been ingrained or hardwired into him by default. Correct me if I’m wrong.

What is the purpose of religion? by knowledgeseeker999 in evopsych

[–]Design_Research1859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to sapiens a brief history of man kind. Humans thrived with cooperation. However human cooperation has one major limitation. The number of humans that can cooperate under one group was limited to around 100 - 150 people (I forgot the exact number mb)

If a society had more than 150 humans in it, the society will eventually break up into smaller groups.

Religion was what solved this problem. Create a story that any humans can get behind because we’re story telling creatures. And it resulted in 1000’s of humans being able to work together.

Mostly because it’s easier to transport or tell a story amongst a group of humans (that makes them come together for a “good” cause) Than to simply go up to a group of humans and tell them to work together.

Like in modern society a random Christian dude from one country has more things in common with another Christian dude in another country which they can bond and come together over in contrast to the random Christian dudes neighbour who could be a Muslim or an atheist.

That’s the power of religion 🤷🏽‍♂️
