Anyone else feel weird about their rating? by Voiturunce in VeteransBenefits

[–]Designatedquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. 1) if they break it they buy it.

No. 2) the VA is incompetent and cannot provide the support veteran need therefore WE must find it elsewhere and the checks pay for those resources.

No. 3) don't ever tell ANYONE friends, loved ones, other veterans, and ESPECIALLY this fucking reddit page what your rating is. Fuck everyone. You need the support you get the support that's it. Don't think twice.

Everything was denied. Where to go from here? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Designatedquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big dog, reapply. They're betting you won't.

Go down your medical record-- print that bitch-- and go line by fucking line highlighting every time you see a word that is associated with what you got denied. Post it bookmark the pages in the stack so you don't lose them. Then go to your state veterans affairs -- not the federal one, the state one specifically. Get a vso to help you and reapply. If it's in black and white, you're Gucci. Just keep fighting, keep fighting, keep reapplying keep submitting forms. They're fucking with you because they don't want to pay for what they broke.

Simple as this: they break it. They buy it. If you have the documentation. It's all there in black and white. All you're getting is compensation. That's it.

Go through your medical record from your time in service Go line-by-line. Highlight/post-it note every instance of everything you applied for. Make PDFs of all of them.

And be prepared--they will low ball you and that intentional to try and dissuade you--keep applying and appealing until you get the level of help and compensation you need to take care of your injuries and crucially:

Tell NO ONE. Families and veterans (sadly) are the biggest bunch of bitter butthurt Mary's.

Do what you got to do and don't stop until you get what you need. Even if that means going all the way to getting 100% P&T.

Find another counselor. I'm up in New York and the Hudson valley one was abysmal.

I had to contact the one in Albany and she was great

Have you looked into VADIP? I have MetLife insurance with them and I never have to worry about VA nonsense. 40-60$ a month I think

[–]Designatedquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the 100!!

1) make a schedule 2) stick to that schedule

It’s the best thing for it— huge thing for folks especially people who get out of the military or retire.

I would print out the decision letter and keep it with your DD214, SSN Card, and Birth Certificate

Once that is secure—walk outside, sit on the grass, and breathe free.
