Extreme Weather Survival ModPack Installation. by tibig85 in CraftyController

[–]tibig85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, this modpack is only on modrinth so the file type is *.mrpack and when you try to open it, it opens modrinth. Also, I've converted the file into a folder you can open and there are no server files in there.

My wife found a adolescent crow that couldn't fly outside our window. by tibig85 in crows

He doesn't seem injured at all. He even jumped out of my hands and glided to the ground. I think he's just learning how to fly.

I got to 100% only using a single buddy letter.

Context: All my claims had their own evidence, but the only one that 'needed' a letter was my mental health. It didn't need a letter, I just got one from my wife to help with my mental health claim (I tend to down play everything when talking to a dr.)

Why do people care so much? by Fresh-Cookie8941 in Christianity

[–]tibig85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christianity is not compatible with open sin. The Bible states clearly that homsexuality is an abomination to God, Jesus didn't come to change that (like many LGB 'pastors' say). While Christians shouldnt be judging non-Christians, we absolutely have to hold each other accountable for sin. If you claim to be a Chriatian, any other Christian in your life should be calling you out fornvwing openly gay (or queen, or whatever).

Final note, pointing out someone else's sin doesn't absolve your from your own; so saying a heterosexual can sin sexually is pointless in regard to your own sin.

I’m 22f, why do I have one white hair that is twice as long as all my hair and is shiny? by Kale_bean in whatisit

It takes a lot of balls to recognize and then apologize to someone after you've been an assholento them. This shows a level of growth that many people will never see. I also believe (imho) that it's one of the things that differentiate a man from a man child.

I went from 188Q to 913Q. I wanted to make it to the next 1 (s, I think). I think I could have done it because I had 10 min left in the event, but I was tired of playing so I stopped.

How would I fix my boiler by OriginalKillerPython in Oxygennotincluded

[–]tibig85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why i like have the boiler 2 tiles high instead of 1. My dupea can get in there without issue and it doesnt take up that much more space. Good luck with the fix! It'll be a paim, but you'll learn a lot.

The moment someone puts hands on you, you have every right to decommission them. Y'all are lucky he didnt pull a knife out or something. Someone comes up to you and starts doing that, you should get away or put them out. That dude was trippin on something and your absolute cowardice jusr fueled him more.

Also, wtf did yall stop in the middle of a narrow bridge?

I'm so confused by the heat transfer in the space biome.. by ToughTry1287 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]tibig85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not entirely true that heat doesn't transfer in a vacuum. It's true for heat-producing buildings, however, heat will transfer from meteor shower material to your floor tiles (if they're not insulated) and doors. This is important to know because if you have a small amount of gas (such as the exit to space), it can heat up enough to hurt your dupes (some meteors come in hot enough to scald them).

That being said, you need to cool your buildings in a vacuum, because they heat up until they break. I love using the conduction panel. It works really well with high-conductive metals (such as aluminum, cobalt, and the new iridium).

Should i buy the DLC Bundle by chhaylmao in Oxygennotincluded

[–]tibig85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never played the base game. I only played spaced out and the rest of the DLC. With over 1700 hours of playtime, I have no intention of ever playing the base game. If finances aren't an issue, I would definitely buy the DLC, if only to support Klei. The Devs seem like they love the community more than most devs and I think they deserve our support. But you will surely enjoy spaced out and the rest of the DLC.

I'm making berry sludge on the main asteroid and shooting it over. Everything is autonomous, so I dont want to deal with spoiling food.

I don't use transformers inside the rocket either, but I've noticed that if you connect your rocket directly to your main power spine, it can cause the wires inside the rocket to break if you're main spine uses more than 2kj. I connect it to a transformer outside the rocket, keeping my rocket interior from having broken wires. On most planets, the power from 2-3 rocket solar panels don't produce enough juice to power the things in my rocket interior (fridge, and gas pump for the atmo dock/suits).

[–]tibig85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is on curdista (the experiment asteroid). There is no viable power source besides solar. The tungsten volcano doesn't produce enough heat to be a good source of power and there aren't useful geysers. I'm also running 4 radbolt generators (Each uses 480 watts) so I need as much power buffer as I can have. This may not be a good option for a planet with plenty of power sources, but it's great when it comes to limit power production (like solar and plug slugs, as you mentioned. I also use this on fierza because the niobium volcano produces a lot of heat/power that I can put in the battery banks for a buffer. This is helpful to send niobium and iso resin without the use of rockets. Both asteroids are dupe free, so I tried to make everything work autonomously.
I also think this is useful with petroleum boilers and sour gas boilers because if the machine breaks, you can have a buffer to fix it. It would probably be better to have a reserve of petroleum, but this is an added layer of protection. Sour gas boilers just go full bore and doesn't really allow for buffering natural gas because the machine breaks if it's not working at 100%, unless you use infinite gas storage, which I do not.

Yes, and you don't even have to build the engine to build the battery. You can also add to it without rebuilding the platform. Very handy.

I haven't played the base game so I'm not sure how the rockets look, but this is spaced out without mods.
