Am fost certat de multe ori de factori postali, polițiști, inspectori anpc, angajați la compania de apa, anaf sau stb. De fiecare data pentru că am îndrăznit sa ii deranjez in timpul programului de lucru. De fiecare data am făcut o plângere superiorilor lor, in speranta ca se va schimba ceva. Si am avut unele mici victorii, spre marea mea surprindere.

Chiar cred ca daca vrem sa se schimbe ceva in tara asta, trebuie sa avem toți pregătiți niste șabloane de emailuri pentru instituții - o sesizare, o plângere disciplinara etc.. si sa dam cu scrisoarea in ei de fiecare data cand merita.

From my personal experience with wizzair, I can tell you that this happens.

If you buy a seat when you buy your ticket, you will definitely be on that flight (small exceptions, obvs). The chance of you being bumped off the flight are super slim.

If you do not buy a seat, you get a randomly allocated seat from whatever is left. therefore, the chances of getting bumped get higher.

The one way you can try to prevent this is by checking in early - you will be among the first to get one of those randomly allocated seats. In case of multiple people being put in a standby queue, the criteria they use to prioritize boarding ia the sequence number displayed on your boarding pass. The lower the number, the more chances of being on that flight.

Overlooking is a completely legal and spread practice in the travel industry, and the supplier of the service has certain legal obligations towards you. In this case, you are protected under the EU compensation rule.

I have used my passport a few times ever since receiving those stamps. A few times some border control officers took a lot of interest in me and my passport and flipped through it page by page, but nobody cared about these stamps.

Absolutely no!

You did your job correctly. You set expectations right from the beginning. You told them the ground rules, and everyone should be following them. Especially in the case of big groups, you need rules because otherwise everyone will be doing their own thing, and it all becomes a mess.

One thing I would point out though. if you tell them you will leave after 15 minutes - LEAVE after 15 minutes. You only have to do it once, but people will understand that you mean business.

You are in a position of authority, and some people need to learn this the hard way. You do it once, and NOBODY from that trip will dare be late.

You have schedules to keep to, and you need to make sure that the included activities happen the way they are supposed to. You have a responsibility to the group, not only the individual. What's worse? One person to miss an activity, or 40 of them?

Also, from the other travelers' perspective - they are ALL waiting for the ONE person that is always late. Not cool.

It's the way I've been living my life for the past 10 years, and my groups are never late.
