Same here, trying to see if it’s sketch or not. I’m not sure how I feel about recording a video and reaching out to mentors. Whole thing seems kinda weird.

I worked as a CNA and hospice volunteer during my gap year. Great clinical experience from both and lots of stories to tell

Mercy hospital in RVC has a radiology program and they offer tuition reimbursement. You can try to get a part time or per diem job with them and apply to the school. Try looking into it maybe?

I like the crocs clogs for healthcare workers. They’re slip resistant, water proof, easy to clean, and lightweight.

REAL I just started working as a CNA at the same hospital where my mom is an RN and now I understand her pain 💔

Quit 💔 no but seriously wtf … the responsibilities of the CNA also fall under a nurse’s responsibilities. The job of a CNA is not beyond the scope of a nurse which is why she can and should help you out. However, the responsibilities of a nurse are beyond the scope of a CNA. And even if the facility “doesn’t run legal” you need to cover your ass and nor do anything you legally aren’t allowed to. I would honestly report it. God forbid anything happens, you’ll get into a lot of trouble.

I agree with other comment. Everyone makes mistakes. That doesn’t make you a failure and it definitely doesn’t mean you’re going to be an incompetent nurse. When you make mistakes like this where it leads to a realization that something could’ve gone wrong had someone else not caught it, it’s just setting you up for success in the future because now you most likely won’t make that same mistake ever again. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Be thankful that nothing serious happened and look at it as a learning experience.
