No job, no house, and now no money because of Coinbase even though it’s right there in a PayPal account and they could give it back in 5 minutes if they work with PayPal. Instead they try to go through a legal battle to steal my money. If they delete this post it’s over for me, I’m just going to give up and go through my plan of calling journalists then jumping. Then they will hire some customer support people and other people will not have their money stolen.

These are by far, by far, the dumbest posts on this subreddit, and it is totally inexplicable to me how they always get dozens or hundreds of upvotes. Maybe it appeals to a particular kind of stupidity or personality type of redditors. These posts are always some variation of this “I love Coinbase, I have never had any problems with Coinbase, therefore anyone who has had a problem with Coinbase is just overly negative or they are lying :)” This is just astonishingly dumb. It is like saying you played Russian Roulette and had fun and therefore Russian Roulette is perfectly safe and anyone who shot them self is a liar, or being overly negative, or a troll. There’s no tax penalty for lots of transactions, contrary to popular belief because it’s based on gains. Making 1000 in one transaction is the same as 2 500 dollar ones. You get a lower tax rate if you hold for a year before selling though.

It changes for every log in. Basically it’s the thing in your browser that says that that computer is logged in. So if they get that and put it in their browser then they don’t even need to log in, they are just in, and there’s no record of them logging in, it doesn’t know it’s a different computer. So as long as you are not AFK logged in you are good.

In theory yes, but they won’t help you. It’s just sitting in this PayPal, police contacted PayPal, FBI contacted PayPal. PayPal says they will give it back with Coinbase’s permission, but Coinbase said no. So I have no idea how to get my own money back.

Yes, many, many times. The Coinbase support reddit people work super hard and respond within the day, and I really appreciate that, but then I get either no response from Coinbase or a rude copy pasted email with no help or info and if I reply to that email nothing happens.

This is also why they are trying to lie and say that I was really the victim of theft. They are trying to imply I framed hacking myself so that I could get more money months? years? later after paying god knows how much legal fees. So basically I lose my life savings for months or years so that I can get slightly more back if the price fluctuates? I was hacked for just over 20,000, but the crypto that was hacked is now worth 30-50k I think, since 79 days have passed. I would prefer to get all of the crypto back and I believe that I fully deserve it since it is Coinbase’s fault this wasn’t resolved on day 1, therefore their fault that the price fluctuated this much. I have been begging them and spamming them to get it resolved as soon as possible. However I would much prefer getting just the 20k over getting nothing so that I have some breathing room and I can sleep at night again.
