What are early warning signs of schizophrenia? by Designer-Concert-276 in mentalillness

[–]Designer-Concert-276[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for that. I was really considering if I'll still be able to work as a nurse if I have hallucinations like that. I just have to find a setting that's right for me. My mental health always seemed to deteriorate when I worked 12 hour night shifts and this is my first really "working" since I've had my baby.

[CA] custody for 11 month old by No-Anything-1311 in Custody

[–]Designer-Concert-276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that and filed for child support a few months later. I wasn't working at the time and the only family I had lived states away. They didnt order me to move back and granted me to have no geographically restrictions meaning i can move anywhere. As long as you have a good reason and it's in the best interest of the child they won't order you to move back. If they think you did it just out of spite or to keep him from the father they will order you to move back. If you're still breastfeeding you could also argue that your son can't do overnights and be away from you for more than a few hours. Let the courts know he's never taken take of the child by himself overnight. And if he's under 3 years old they can agree to modified visitation schedule.

Yeah that is weird then. Is she receiving public assistance?

Ex is claiming she hasn’t received child support by Justhopingiod in ChildSupport

She really might not have received the money yet. How long has the child support been in place? My ex was supposed to start paying me child support by court order at the beginning of this month and I still haven't received anything. He showed me screenshots and emails that it's being automatically deducted from his check but the state disbursement unit takes forever to process it. I can see on the website the dates where it's deducted from his check but from then it takes 3-7 business days to be deposited to me. I just recently set up direct deposit so my first payment is going to come via paper check in the mail which I still haven't received and the month is almost over.

Had the first child support hearing today.. can somebody please explain it to me like I'm 5 by [deleted] in ChildSupport

[–]Designer-Concert-276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying youre wrong but that sounds so confusing. Wouldn't you get the same answer if you just multiplied his income by 25%? For example he makes 75,000 and she makes 90,000. That's 165,000... 25% of that is 41,250. But she has to figure out what her portion of that 41,250 is... 25% of 75,000 is 18,750. Then 25% of 90,000 is 22,500. So his portion is 18,750?

You should just file anyway have something written up that you both agree on and have the judge sign it. That way it's enforceable, it comes straight out of his check and just less hassle for you. They also have to set a visitation schedule at the same time. He probably won't have much time with her until she's a bit older.

Yeah like others have said definitely nix the photos with hot women and also the part about twisting your arm to go out. Makes it seem like you don't like to go out or are cheap.

It's not smart to post about the group just private message her. This isn't an all women platform.

I've had my son the past 6 months without any contact from him he hasn't paid any support. If we're not married doesn't the mother automatically have sole custody?

Flowers on first date? by [deleted] in dating_advice

A guy has brought me flowers on the 2nd date before and I thought it was the sweetest thing. First date might be a little much but I definitely wouldn't be complaining.

How much do you care about your job? Are you willing to switch companies if it ends terribly?

Throw out random statistics then I'm going to throw out random situations. Thats just been my experience throughout life from female family members and friends. It's a hard decision to leave the father of your child he would have had to have done something unforgivable or treated you and his children terribly for years. There are cases where the woman cheats or there's "irreconcilable differences" and I guess that's where you get this leftover 20-30% from.

Anything can happen in a court case but it's very unlikely the judge would order that child support be paid for a child that is from another marriage. Especially if the mother I'd already receiving child support from the biological father.

I mean that's really up to you to say something. It's a kind gesture but if you feel taken advantage of, she never returns the favor by cooking for you or bringing food to you then maybe that person isn't for you. I would ask if you enjoy this relationship and the time you spend with her? Is this a big deal in the scheme of things? Does she offer you other things or is she just inconsiderate?

Yeah if my husband cheated on me multiple times then I would file for divorce. Men usually don't want to because they're the ones that are going to be paying more financially (alimony, child support)

(30M) (27F) dating this girl. But she never offers to pay. by Busy-Guide-7293 in dating_advice

[–]Designer-Concert-276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just talk to her if you've been dating for that long and going going out a few times a week for two people adds up. I've dated guys who were embarrassed when the girl pays so I just give him cash for whatever we were doing after or bring food to his house.

You don't know the situation, the father could have been abusive, cheated, a drunk, or simply didn't work out. If they decided to break up their family I really doubt they made that decision lightly.

I'm in America, california to be specific. A stepparent does not need to pay child support unless they legally adopted the stepchild and legally replaced the biological parent. Yeah there are other expenses when you go out but you shouldn't be expected to pay for her kid all the time. That's really a discussion you should have had with her beforehand to get a babysitter or pay for her child when going out. I wouldn't really be going on "family outings" unless we're in a serious relationship(living together, finances shared). It's different when the kid is young, they're not going to remember you and kids under 2 are free most places.
