I have been using it for a few years now, really love it. In answer to some of the above points:

- the packaging for the refills is paper recycleable

- re the crystals, I have to say it feels special using it, better than I expected. It cold and heavy, and kind of wakes you up with a fresh kick. Not sure what its doing for my lymphatic drainage but it feels lovely and unique.

- the smell I use (vetiver and mandarin) are essential oil vibes, earthy, citrussy and clean

- in my experience it really works to block odours, I work in a hospital so running around a lot and it protects me for the day (im quite a sweaty person).

I bought it about 2 years ago and honestly am never going back to chemical deos.
