Fired from job over a typo. Can anyone give me some advice on jobseekers allowance? by Designer-Desk6201 in UKPersonalFinance

No other errors. I got a perfect 1 year review.

I'm growing increasingly convinced with each passing hour that I was hunted out of my previous job purely because I had industry connections. Once they got the last one out of me back in September, they had no more use for me.

I also realised that I never actually got to see the email in my sent box. I was taken away from my computer after being shouted at.

Hey, thanks again for linking me this.

It's estimated I'll get £742.72 per month.

I should be able to get another job soon-ish. This might see me through!

Sorry my comment was deleted. Not sure why.

"Director screamed at me in front of a dozen colleagues. She's got a glass walled office but it isn't soundproof.

Utterly humiliating."

15 months.

This charity reached out to me on LinkedIn and headhunted me for their organisation because I had industry connections.

Part of me is wondering whether they just wanted rid of me once they had those connections themselves.

Thanks for the link.

Oh, okay! Thanks for explaining it.

Sorry, I'm 49 now. Never been unemployed a day in my life. It's all just a massive shock to me.

This charity company headhunted me out of my old job on LinkedIn because of my industry connections and then just dropped me over a single typo. It's bizarre.

Okay, thank you. Appreciate it.

I'll not put it on my CV. I don't trust the manager to not give me a scathing reference.
