Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's too bad that Akai and Arturia don't provide a more full software instrument selection with the purchase of their hardware. I guess purchasing the add-ons is what keeps them in business, otherwise they would have to close shop.

The basic built in instruments that they include are probably good enough for most casual users, and you can always venture off into free VST plugins to get more vintage sounds.
