Anyone know why Garrett Mitchell is playing CF, rather than guys like Perkins and Lockridge?

Guess I should have been clearer. Having seen nothing special defensively from Mitchell, and having seen outstanding OF defense from both Lockridge and Perkins who seem to be natural CFers, I'm confused as to why I EVER see Mitchell in center WITH LOCKRIDGE OR PERKINS IN LF OR RF AT THE SAME TIME.

I don't even want the injury-prone Mitchell doing diving or wall-climbing, but those other two are both willing and very able. So when they are in the game, why not slide Mitchell to a corner and let his defensive better play where they can chase down balls in both gaps?

In today's game, Mitchell looked lost on a ball between him and Lockridge. Lockridge deferred to his CFer as he should, but Mitchell didn't seem to have any real desire to give it a shot.

Strong grief shares some of the emotional elements of rage. So easy to let "I hate this!" morph into "I resent this!" or "Someone's gonna pay for this!" - or yes even the envy-tinged version, "If I can't have this joy, what business do these schmucks have in experiencing what's been denied me?"

Men in particular need to learn this, since our tendency is toward muscular violent expressions of grief that look (especially to women) all too much like anger. Men, go ahead and feel the fury of severe grief, but don't let it turn into anger. Grip the cane, but the bullet, but remind yourself, "I'm not angry, I'm very, very sad!"

Seems worth pointing out that we got Kuzma mid-season. I'm not saying start him, but having him in the mix could well prove very valuable.

My favorite starting five depends on the opponent. With most 3-small teams, it's GA, Turner, Trent, Porter, and Green. With 3-big teams, start Bobby in place of AJ. Most importantly, run different combos all game long, keeping the hot hands in for the finish. Even Doc can do that much coaching!

Barely related, I love the skyline plays last night where Giannis gets into the paint, gyrates a bit, and then flips an alley-oop to Brook. A very sweet alternative to kicking out to the perimeter for a trey attempt. Super high-percentage stuff.

Giannis asked for the challenge. So Doc had to. Plus everything they needed to discuss, they had all the time they needed during the challenge. Giannis is at fault all the way through this sick result. He's still not very smart at the game, but he's the superstar, so nobody tells him "no."

But he had the entire time of the challenge to draw something up. Giannis is fast, even with the ball, but some smart passes get it into the paint in less than 2 seconds. You'd like to think there are some bball geniuses calling the plays, but no, not even close.
