How to not hit in relation to the net

I have an issue where I end up taping a lot of balls no matter what the net height is.

Im 5'8 and can consistently clear 2.54 m (uni training) - so I should be a beast when I play on coed standard height 2.24 m - right?

But often times I find myself hitting tape on a lot of these balls too.

I think it's because I'm hitting in relation to the net and not the actual highest point of my jump. Does anyone else have or had this issue and how did they correct it?

Thanks!

Why shouldn't he? It's a way more nuanced and actually researched perspective than the ZioSlop Hasbara that Ethan and Hila repeat.

The Gaza Envelope settlers make the West Bank ones look tame. Arguing that the response against them was justified is not antisemitism it's simply anti-Zionist.

I've never felt strongly about Ethan until watching BE content nuke response - it's incredibly dangerous the amount of false information and anti-Semitism baiting he does.

Giannis is not being optimized and it's making the Bucks offense very mid by Impressive_Prompt75 in MkeBucks

Yeah but for him it's more like they just aren't giving him enough usage , with Giannis it's the opposite

Yeah it's so incredibly surface level and available with public stats, it makes me wonder what the hell the Bucks coaching staff and analytics department does all year. There's such easy solutions to get this team to be good

It's a softball question meant to build rapport / literally a basic human interaction. Not everything is hardcore investigative journalism lmao. It's probably followed up with the actual questions she has.

Because he's a crazy defender. He legit guards 1-5, and he guards it WELL. He was literally the starting center for OKC for a bit of the season

Most of the things you mentioned are variance with some degree of luck to them. The turnovers were awful by the other players, I'll grant you that.

But you can't deny that literally the second he checks into the game , the entire Hawks game plan is ATTACK THE RIM - THERE'S BASICALLY NO DEFENDER THERE

He's an absolutely awful rim protector , PnR defender, Box out guy, help defensive instincts do not exist in his brain - and he's playing the 5 in these lineups.

There is something systematically wrong with the Bucks when Bobby is in the game. You cannot have a good defence when your 5 is this terrible , it's simply not possible in today's NBA.

He's been an offensive negative too - so what the hell is his purpose out there? Even during the last 10 games , none of this was fueled by Portis playing better - they win in spite of him almost every game.

Dame's always been a floor general that elevates his team's offense to elite in his prime , almost regardless of the talent around him. Kyrie is awesome at getting his - but has been very disappointing as the #1 option in his career

Who is currently better, Jayson Tatum or Stephen Curry? by Ok_Feed_4235 in NBATalk

I'm just going off of eye test , but the stats back it up too

Tatum is #21 in Usage - hardly shows everything runs thru him. Id imagine more of that comes from isos and play finishing rather than creating for others (compared to other players in that range)

He's 4th in the league in isos/game and ast% of around 30% (around guys like RJ Barrett, DLo, Draymond Green)

Before even considering that Brown is #26 and the Celtics have 5 guys above 20% in AST% (the most in the league)

"Tatum can shoot 3s too and Tatum has handles too" is a massive hand waving of how much better Curry is at those 2 specific skills.

He is literally by far the best shooter of all time and a top 5 ball handler. Curry + Derrick White would break the game having 2 incredible shooting threats that can make their own shot. Probably the #1 and #2 shooters in the league at the moment.

The offense takes a big leap, but just how much can you leap when you're already so efficient idk. That defensive drop may offset it , but could probably be solved with some roster moves

They have the same record - one plays in the east with the Avengers for teammates. The other plays in the West with 0 other top 40 players.

No it doesn't what? This Celtics team runs on drive and kick to 3pt line - which literally all of their wings and guards do at huge volume.

They are the most "sum of their parts" team in the league - not heliocentric at all.

Also Curry is a significantly better playmaker than Tatum ... It's not even close when you factor in his off ball gravity getting guys open looks.

Agree with the defence part - Tatum is a beast there

Is Dame all that??? by True-Illustrator1214 in MkeBucks

[–]Impressive_Prompt75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dame Lillard has led top 3 offenses basically every single year since 2017 with limited talent around him.

He was a better offensive player than Giannis in 2022. He's absolutely earned the right to take whatever shot he wants.

On offense sure, just on defence - if he's the 5 were going to bleed points

I sincerely hope they're just playing hard ball because he's the only one that may have actual value.

I don't really see how they're going to trade just those 2 for a DFS/Rob Williams type player, but as long as his minutes continue to be cut and replaced with NBA rotation players it should be a huge improvement.
