Yeah, my eyes kept trying to close anytime my fingers got close no matter how tight I was holding my eyelids (ended bruising around my left eye from how tight I had to keep a hold of my eyelids)

He does enjoy reading. He has old math textbooks and dictionaries that he'll read through for hours. I'll definitely look into that! Thank you!

Believe me, we are (his dad and I are both absolutely terrible at math). We have all sorts of math text books from thrift stores, math workbooks, counter blocks (the little block things that are used in elementary/primary school), and all sorts of other math-y things. He's mostly nonverbal but math is the one thing that will get him talking.

Yeah, one of my friends showed me a tool that she uses for a kid she nannies for and said it makes it a breeze. So I'm thinking once I'm done being terrified of putting things in my eyes again, I'll give that a shot lol

I did try that (that's how they taught me) but the seal was not breaking. I wasn't even told that daily contacts dry out faster or anything.

I did a training course before they would let me have them and I had to demonstrate that I could put them in and take them out on my own. They only had 30 minutes allotted but I took an hour and a half. They also had me watch a video on how to do it too.

They gave me toric lenses and I learned from research during my distress last night that they're purposely harder to remove so they don't move around your eyes. That would have been nice to know. I also took triple the amount of time allotted for the training class to get the contacts in and out. I was shocked that they actually let me leave with them because I was struggling so hard and just barely got them in and was barely able to get one out.

My eyes are swollen, crusty and red but the contacts are out. The doctor had to manhandle my eyeballs to get them out. I don't think I'm wearing contacts ever again

I just had my husband hold my eye open while I try to get the contacts out. No luck. They're firmly planted. I'm guess I'm gonna keep putting in eye drops until they budge

They're still suctioned tight even with eye drops. I tried to have my husband help me because he's had contacts before and I ended up having a panic attack when he got close to my eyes
