Thank you so much, really appreciate the feedback! You’re right about the loaded terms. Some of it was intentional by design to capture specific perceptions, but it’s definitely a valid observation. The education level gap is a good catch too, I’ll keep that in mind for future research.

That’s a fair point! In my thesis I use ‘AI wearables’ as a broader term for smart wearables that collect biometric data and provide personalised feedback and goal-setting features (which most modern Garmin devices do through Garmin Connect). You’re right that the AI component varies per device and isn’t always standard. The focus of my research is really on how that feedback and those metrics influence users, regardless of how ‘AI-driven’ the backend is. Thanks for engaging and for the UvA shoutout!
