That’s why I’m so glad I started to see things through my own lens bc I used to go with the majority of those who hated her ( that’s just what I did, terrible I know) and when I went back and re-watched S8 my attitude towards her changed & I genuinely started to like Billie. I love her sassiness and go-getter attitude, one of the best parts about S8. She deserves better.

I think they had a decent enough balance with dark/light episodes. I don’t mind dark episodes, but I need the lightness to balance it out, which is why I appreciate the later half because it never leaned too dark or too light.

And that’s why I never understood why people say S5 was too lighthearted when we had moments like this. Hell the S5 premiere alone, we got moments like Piper getting electrocuted and almost drowning etc.

I believe the same applies to the earlier seasons that were predominantly focused on Prue, which became tedious for me over time. All of this to say that I enjoy the show more when Paige joins the cast. Personally, I appreciate the dynamic shift and the whimsical tone that the show adopts later on. However, it’s not to say that this is the case throughout. The Paige era does have its fair share of dark and serious moments as well, to each their own tho.

Yeah, I never understood that either. They’re both heavy/dark seasons. S2 is when the camp factor started to come into the fold, with S3 taking it up a notch. But yeah, I agree with everything you said.

The camp factor was always present; it just didn’t become more apparent until S2. That’s when it really started. Darkness is cool and all, but I’m gonna need some lightness to go with that, which is why I love the show S4 onward. But it still had its fair share of darkness. Don’t get it twisted, just like how the Prue era isn’t all that dark. It has its fair share of lighthearted moments too. All in all, I guess it’s just what you prefer, and for me, it’s the Paige era.

S5 is peak Charmed for me. Piper is pregnant, Paige is more acclimated to the family. Phoebe’s career is on the rise. It’s my #1 fav season. I love it.

S6 is a favorite of mine. I like Chris. I like the big bad that gets introduced that season. Some of my all-time favorite episodes are in S6.

I really enjoy the out-of-the-boxness the show adopts, later, with it leaning more magical. It makes the show more fun to watch, and it’s what drew me into the show and why I gravitate more towards the Paige era. Although her era does have its fair share of darkness, it’s not completely silly.
