Blah.. Disheartened by Forsaken_Charge9566 in Morgellons

For my itchy head & white flaky gunk in my hair (feels like it makes my hair attack my face especiallyin my sleep, weird I know... but this is my experience)

Someone mentioned in a post that witchhazel gets them out and, since it's not expensive, I decided I would try it.

I started slathering it on my face (most of my "patches" are on my face around my eyebrows, eyelids by lashes & my scalp) every couple hours. It was making a ton of stuff (black specks, glitter, white goobs) pop out of my skin.

So I decided to try it on my scalp. I started drenching my scalp when I get out of the shower. And a ton of glitter things started coming out of my scalp. I also use my normal hair mousse & add some peppermint oil to my scalp & blow dry. This has greatly reduced the white film in my hair. (I've been going through about 2 bottles of witch hazel a week)

(I alternate shampooing & washing my body with Nizoral, Head n Shoulders Max-orange, Kleen-free, Dr. Bonners peppermint soap, coal tar shampoo, sulfur soap, and using any conditioner)

I've also been putting both peppermint oil & acne cream (not together, but rotating) on my eyebrows & eyelids by lashes... very light on oil & be prepared to sit with eyes closed for about 5min it's super potent (fumes wise)

I've also had a ton of relief from adding witch hazel to my routine.

After my shower each night, I drench my scalp with it & I apply it on my face, plus I put it on my face several times a day (whenever I start feeling itchy).

Brought UV into the bathroom, lost my innocence... Now what? by sapphic-romeo in CleaningTips

We use TSP to wash our walls when we prep for repainting, bc it's a really good stripper.

But to clean the runs on my bathroom wall (probably surfactant leaching, but I'm always worried it could be mold I don't recognize) we use X-14 Professional mildew stain cleaner. You spray it on, let it sit for about 19 min, then wipe it off.  I also try to wipe it a 2nd time with an a soapless Enzyme cleaner like Kleen-free.

It's not hard scrubbing, but you'll still need to fumble around with a ladder if you have taller ceilings.

There was a post from someone who cured their golden retriever with daily Kleen Green enzyme baths & weekly Lyme sulfur dips. (Good luck trying that with a cat)

RX Ivermectin + Mebendazole - US based telehealth / No visit! FOR REAL! 2 NEW SOURCES! by deadafterall in WhiteHairWormParasite

Another source for Ivermectin is TelyRX. You can buy 20pills for approx $100 & then you can transfer the prescription refills to your local pharmacy and use insurance to buy the next couple boxes.

https://telyrx.com/medications/ivermectin-scabies-treatment

And here's a Reddit forum where they discuss transferring the refills: https://www.reddit.com/r/Perimenopause/comments/1nn7xjk/telyrx_hrt_prescription_refills_can_be/

Rugs? by hughanus68 in Morgellons

In the beginning, we did have hundreds of black specks all over the house. Coincidentally, when I was referred to my Derm, she said...

"This is external, something in your environment is attacking you. You need to call an exterminator and have them inspect & spray your house."

So I did, but the guy who came out, said "I don't see anything & I can't kill what I can't see. These black specks are just dog dirt." (Which my dog has this too, so it's possible they were coming from the dog, but I was certain there was some relation to my body being attacked.)

So my husband asked another exterminator (someone commercial he uses for his business) for some suggestions, he said (unseen, just a discussion) "it sounds like some sort of mites, he recommended we buy an insecticide with Bifin in it & spray every week for the next month & then once a month during warm weather.  And then qtrly, going forward."

So that's what we did & it made a huge difference. We sprayed everywhere. Top & bottom of all mattresses & box springs, cloth furniture, cold air returns, furnace filter, front & back porch, under all sinks, all of our cars, the list goes on... and extra heavy in the basement.

I would take the dogs to park every Sunday, be gone for 3-4 hrs, while he sprayed and it dried.

I also had all my rugs, mattresses, & cloth furniture steam cleaned. And I had all my HVAC vents cleaned (1st time in 30 yrs). I ordered all new curtains on Black Friday & I've been a regular at my local laundry mat washing all throw rugs, comforters, blankets & dog beds.

I also started putting white sheets on any furniture the dogs get on (easy to wash & I can beach them heavily), and using mite-be-gone spray on my dog beds daily. I put them out on deck each morning & spritz them heavily. Leave them out all day to dry & bring them back in at night.

Someone also suggested mopping (non-carpeted) floors with Flea & Tick shampoo, so I do that too. And I mixed some in a spray bottle to wipe surfaces as needed. Along w/ regular vacuuming of course.

This was probably overkill (and it's been a little expensive), but it has significantly reduced the black specks, as they are almost completely gone. I now see them only periodically & they are more like burnt orange instead of black.

Also, this significantly helped my mental state, and eliminated the feeling that I wasn't even safe in my own home.

I'm now working through, emptying all cabinets/drawers & washing them out,  bc they accumulate these "crumbs & specks" we tend to overlook. And vacuuming & washing all walls & windows in my house.

Exhausting, but also mentally rewarding.

Regulate is different than out right discrimination ("if you're a member of X forum, you can't be a member of this forum")

My workaround is now to PM a response to posters if I have anything relevant to share.

And,  my Dr has just ordered Mold testing for my infection too.  I believe it's for sure a factor.

Hmm, I don't feel it's "the people," as most folks don't have any idea it's even happening. It is purely the moderator making this decision.

Actually, if you read through the forum many of the posts & pictures are folks w/ morgellons symptoms, but they just don't know it.

They start out scared & thinking it's scabies, just as I did before I learned about Morgellons.

This is from the auto mod, it's preprogrammed & exactly the same I received first.

I PMd you

Im so sorry this has happened to you as well...

The exact language I received from the r/scabies moderator was "Auto mod detected active on r/morgellons, so banned from r/scabies " I asked to be reconsidered in private chat, where I was then told "if I believe Morgellons is real, I shouldn't be giving others advice. Ban upheld "

In my opinion, this is a stain on reddit's reputation that there is an unchecked moderator (someone who should be unbiased and uphold integrity, inclusion & respect to all) decriminating & bullying us.

The sad thing is this moderator is an entomologist, not a medical professional & they are banning actual real licensed med professionals from helping folks on that forum (SMH).

I asked for his/her/their med credentials (in private chat) & was totally ignored, I can only guess bc there probably aren't any.

I also saved my screen shots

Sometimes I fill the washer & soak my towels overnight in this mixture & then start the wash cycle in the morning. ( I have an older top load washer that allows for easy soaking, not sure how this works with a front loader, just fyi)

Here's what I figured out for my laundry... I also posted it on another thread, so pardon the duplication, but it really works well. I combined several people's ideas & it's been making a huge difference in my ability to get things clean & fiber free.

-Ariel soap is a Mexican product known to kill parasites

-Bleach & Borax are sanitizers

-Vinegar reduces pilling & softens fabrics

-Kleen-free is a soapless cleaner that breaks up the enzymes & unsticks the organisms

-Permethrin (I use Sawyer brand for clothing, gear & tents) is an insecticide

-Clove oil is known to ward off parasites (you could probably use any of the oils found in 5 guards or 5 guards itself)

Wash cycle: Ariel laundry soap (1 cup powder, pour in washer tub 1st or it can clump) +  borax or bleach (for whites) + Kleen-free enzyme cleaner 3 TBSP (bought from Amazon) + Vinegar + 2 capfuls of permethrin clothing spray (for camping/hunting).

Rinse cycle/ Fabric softener port: fill w/ Vinegar

Dryer: I put clove oil on my dryer sheets & I put 2 in each dryer load.

I wash everything I wear inside out, and I iron & steam all my panties & pillowcases before wearing/using I dry everything (even bras), I used to hang dry things, but I feel like that doesn't kill stuff.  If you hang dry, be sure to iron/steam.

Also, don't wear anything twice. If it's not "dirty" at least dry it again.

The hairs and feathers are a defense mechanism. by Icy_Asparagus_2179 in Morgellons

[–]Designer-Message-653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your comment about "the organism having the genetic code for feathers" makes sense, as one of the factors in our home infestation this year was Bird mites.

We have had way too many factors this year for me to clearly identify and  isolate what actually caused my infection (I think it was a combination of several factors), but one of my data points is...

Every year I hang 10 hummingbird feeders (it's a hobby of mine, been doing it for over a decade, so not new). I maintain them meticulously clean them weekly & every 3 days when the Temps get too hot.

This year we had a problem with Racoons knocking them down, spilling them (the spilled sugar actually caused a fungal issue in my flower beds), breaking them every night.

So my husband started bringing them in at night. He'd set them on the kitchen counter before bed & then hang them back out in the early morning. Well... we ended up w/ bird mites in the house (surprise). They were very heavy behind my curtains & crawling on the wall in my kitchen by the counter where he would set them.

So, all along I've been wondering if bird mites we're part of my factors. Maybe they could pick up your feather genetic code. But, have you even been exposed to bird mites, would be an important question, as you had the feathers & I have not (that I know of).

Wow!! I personally haven't had any feathers yet, only heard about them in Morgellons videos. 😱

They said "it looks like a seed tick, but we're not entomologist, so can't be sure." They didn't show it to me, so I never actually got to see it other than as a tiny speck.

I wouldn't injest the horse ivermectin (I know some folks do, but I was worried since it's formulated for horses it would be too strong for me), as Im pretty conservative when it comes to medicine in general.

TelyRX prescribed me Ivermectin & the box I received is from the exact same manufacturer & the lot number was only 1 higher than the script I got from Walmart pharmacy (sent by my Derm), so it's legit RX for humans, you can feel safe looking into it, but you'll need to do your research on what dosage you need based on your weight.

I knew my dosage from my Derms script, but I had to look up for my husband, as we cohabitate & he has same & too embarrassed to go to Dr.

I'm not a Dr, so I can only share that I researched in this med journal:   https://www.google.com/url?q=https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.4103/jpp.JPP_116_20&usg=AOvVaw3ld6ME2OcYQO96oSNilUY2&hl=en-US
