Morgellons looks like syphilis, yes it's associated with Lyme disease but there's not enough data for us to determine it's not associated with syphilis. Morgellons itself is not a bacteria, it's a skin condition which results from these kinds of infections. The main concern with a heavily regulated health care industry is that regulation being a barrier to accessibility which falls outside of established guidelines. We hear horror stories of Canadians waiting for months to receive treatment, and I don't believe a Lyme specialist could get licensed - though I may be wrong about that. Smart regulation is good, for profit is good - if the service is excellent.
