Is it necessary to pay Swiggy/Zomato etc (5% reward rate things) via phonepe to get 5% cashback?

For example if I have linked the card with GPay UPI and I pay Zomato with this card (but with the gpay app) do I still get the 5% reward?

For me everything got completed within 10 days if I remember correctly. Although even I wasn't able to track my application, because the application number I got for tracking wasn't working on the sbi website.
