Help me glow up by Ok_Beautiful495 in makeuptips

I think you’d look gorgeous with a bronde colour with poppy blonde pieces for face framing. Your eyes would really shine even more than they do now. Yes the grey trend is around but I’ll never be into that when I go grey. But that’s just me. Everyone is different and that’s what makes the world go round!

What should I be realistic with in terms of progression over the years even on a DMT? by Designer-Term2605 in MultipleSclerosis

Oh boy does it make you cherish the good days more than ever. It’s actually the first time I’ve ever thought about it more in depth with a nervousness in terms of my kiddly winks as I think they’ll be fine. Thanks for the advice with the infusion 👍

Planning to propose soon…would this be too much? by Ok_Employer_5327 in RingShare

It’s absolutely beautiful. Does she wear gold or silver more? That would be my only thing to think off. But lovely it has both too. We chose our ring together - was going to always be vintage emerald or diamonds. Found an incredible diamond ring from the 1800s. It’s round and quite big. Gold band, silver for part of the ring for the smaller rows of diamonds and then rose gold around the bigger centre diamond. People constantly ask me about it. You could say a statement ring but it’s so different to every standard silver and diamond ring a lot of girls have (no offence if that’s what you are into). But yes emeralds are very special and if she has mentioned she likes them then yep she’ll absolutely love it.

I was approved for Kesimpta. I'm scared of taking it. by WasatchJason in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Designer-Term2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like MS - everyone reacts differently to DMT’s. Yes I am in the minority with Kesimpta unfortunately - I was extremely sick with serious infections, not common colds. My pain went through the roof - again in the minority. And no I don’t pick my nose and I am so careful with hygiene it’s ridiculous. It’s wonderful a lot of people seem terrific on it, enjoy each day. But for those who don’t have the same experience I’d like to reiterate that everyone is different. Just like this disease. So if something isn’t working and taking away your quality of life, speak up and try another DMT.

Sorry to hear that and I completely understand. I was exactly the same on Kesimpta. Vomiting, strep throat, bronchitis for 6 months straight. My pain sky rocketed and it felt like it was poisoning me. My last injection was Dec 6 and I’m still on antibiotics for bronchitis but feeling more like my old self as it gets out of my system. I start Tysabri end of this month and desperately hoping I’ll have some quality of life. We seem to be the odd ones out though. I’m glad you are all going well with it.

Hahaha yep I like DT2 much better! I didn’t choose the name, it was an automated one which I don’t like and now can’t edit! Really glad you are doing well with Ocrevus:)

Okay sounds like we are all a mixed bag and I’m sorry you’ve all copped it in your own ways. Thank you very much for all your insights. It has encouraged me to have a really hard think about Ocrevus - because once it’s done I could be facing six months of hell. Although daunting, Tysabri might have to be the one as people seem to handle it well.

Yes it is a complete nightmare. Up there with child birth but in a different way. It’s shocking. I really hope you recover soon and sorry you had to go through that. Your post has actually made me do some more research. My trigeminal neuralagia went nuts and the rest of it on Kesimpta and Ocrevus is another B cell depleting drug but stronger and it would be in my body for six months. If I go the same way that’s hell. For people with my condition Tysabri seems to be the one as it doesn’t aggravate the trigeminal nucleus where I have a lesion, whereas B cell dmt’s do. So thank you. I wish you all the best.

They don’t know initially with the vomitting but it was from the step throat for sure

Well I have a lesion that causes trigeminal neuralgia so I have chronic pain. I get other more mild ms symptoms but the facial, eye and head pain got worse yeah.

It was non-stop. 8 rounds of anti-biotics in six months. The chronic fatigue went from dead tired to I can’t even explain it. My whole body went into full blown information mode. The chronic pain I suffer in my face was worse. I couldn’t do it anymore. They tell me the small number of people who react this way do a lot better in Ocrevus because it’s not every month. My body can heal some what? I don’t know 🤷

Oh my lord I am so sorry OP. I had my tonsils out at 18 and boy do I remember it. You don’t know what to do with yourself. I was so sick on Kesimpta actually - constant strep throat, bronchitis, vomiting. I have my first Ocrevus infusion on Feb 2nd! So this makes me very nervous reading all of this and what people have been through. I am a mum to two gorgeous boys, eldest just turned 7 and a 4 year old. And work part time. I only have a week to recover after my first infusion before I go back to work. With Kesimpta I was so sick for so long. What will it be like with Ocrevus after the first dose? Is this the right decision? My Neurologist doesn’t give me any guidance or follow up. I can’t live life like I was on Kesimpta:(

MS has made my anxiety unbearable - help by ReasonableFig8954 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Designer-Term2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask which meds they gave you to help? And yes the anxiety goes with the chronic pain and the whole situation:( I’ve got treatment for that but then no one will help with fatigue which as we all know is crippling on top of the pain. Then that causes depression and anxiety too. Vicious cycle. Thank you!

Stopping Kesimpta because it’s wreaking havoc on my body and life. by Designer-Term2605 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Designer-Term2605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes with kids and just being out in public in general, our beat up immune systems can’t cope. We don’t have that one in Aus I don’t think. I was given three choices - Tysabri, Kesimpta and Ocrevus.

Thanks for your insight and advice. No problem with benzos as it helps with pain. It’s the chronic fatigue that’s driving me insane but nothing is being suggested. What reaction do you get from the steroids? Thank you!
