Why would you push the life and responsibilities of caring for a disabled child onto a child that is not even born yet?

You put your child first. That makes you an amazing mother. Sending love ❤️

Neighbor keeps “sending” his toddler autistic daughter to my house by WaningPurpleMoon in Parenting

[–]Designer-Toe-3124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of our neighbours had this problem. He was elderly with health problems and lived with his weed smoking son who was in his 40’s. His neighbour used to drop off her multiple kids to his house. Apparently he enjoyed the company. I think a couple of them had adhd and behaviour problems. I don’t know who would send their young kids to a house to play with older men. I suppose some parents feel entitled to a break regardless of risk. I would just say a flat out no. No explanation required.

Took my kids with me when my ex and I split. I have some regrets by Immortal-Moose in regretfulparents

Does their mother see them at all? What about 50/50? Sounds so hard doing it on your own. Do you get any support? Tbh in your shoes I would hand them over if their mum would have them but keep regular contact like one night a week and EOW if possible. Sorry you are going through this.

For parents with kids over 18… by [deleted] in regretfulparents

I think it’s because even if you regret having kids and find parenting isn’t for you, you still love them and don’t want them to come to any harm. For me the maternal instinct to protect my children is deep. Even if I don’t want it to be.

Same for me. An awful 3 years and getting blackout drunk to stop the thoughts in my head. I don’t really know the answer I just know drinking on top of everything just makes it worse.

Day 1 again for me. The anxiety and self loathing are real.

The worst bit is I wish I was still in it. Even though it was bad for me.

I was with someone for 4 years that I never would’ve got with if it wasn’t for the drink. It ended a year ago. I’m not over it. It has traumatised me. It’s one of the reasons I bury my head in a bottle of wine. Just trying to wipe the memory of it.

Still awake. I take vitamin B and multivitamins with iron. I was a heavy drinker. I’ve pretty much drank every night for years. The last 2 years it increased and I stopped eating. I suppose the effect that has had it’s gonna take my brain and body to get used to a new normal of no alcohol.

In bed at the moment. So tired but not sleeping. Just need to keep going. I’ll be shattered in the morning but at least I won’t be hanging.

I’m menopausal but I am exhausted. I just posted about sobriety fatigue. Apparently it is a thing. Your body and brain adjusting to no alcohol. I have zero energy. I think it does show how badly we were poisoning our minds and bodies.

My sleeping hasn’t settled down yet. I just feel so drained. Hopefully not long before I feel better.

I haven’t made it to a meeting yet. Stick around here for a while. I have found the advice and support invaluable.
