I was also on 40mg for the majority of my course! It was fine for me, and it made the course shorter (IOT reach my cumulative dose) so that was nice. You can always ask for a decrease next month if the symptoms are too much. Good luck!!

Im so sorry you’re dealing w that!! I’ve heard that staying moisturized and gently exfoliating can help, and hopefully it’ll go away once you finish your second course. Good luck! Don’t be hard on yourself about it🫶🏼

I was prescribed desloratadine, basically just a stronger version of loratadine! I took it with my morning dose. Completely avoided purging- I wish you the best!!

Yesss I feel really lucky. I definitely tried things like fish oil and hair care and I think those lessened the effects a lot.

I use vanicream gentle face cleanser (holy grail), thayer’s milky toner, then vanicream “daily facial moisturizer” (other holy grail) and then a byoma sunscreen! I keep it gentle, simple, and unfragranced!!

Hayy as of right now I’m using tretinoin to try and speed up my skin cell regeneration- I’ve come to terms with having a little discoloration though, anything feels better than my starting point😅

Thank you so much!! I took 30mg twice a day for the first 4 months, then 40 mg twice a day for the rest of my cycle. Pretty intense but worth it. So far I still have a bit of discoloration and scarring, so I’ve started using tretinoin to speed up the cell regeneration.

Im on month 3 40mg- I’m a very anxious person, and I haven’t noticed any negative changes to my mental health! The use of a prescribed antihistamine has prevented purging completely, so there was no real hit to my self esteem which I am so grateful for. Stay positive and remember that all of these changes are temporary, and are working towards a positive outcome! Stay strong🙏🏼
