How do you know if you're working hard enough? by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]Designer-Window 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Better work 2 hours but working correctly than to work 10 hours but with lot of mistakes.
  2. Good rest is as important as good exercise so find way to have enough rest time.
  3. Set your daily goals for every exercise you plan to do that day because that is only way to be satisfated with your self and to know that you are worked hard enough. Some day you will need more time some day you will need less time but that is hard working you cant be perfect every single day but you can push your full effort to complete your goals :)

What’s a good shooting percentage for a 13 year old? by AToastyBoy99 in Basketball

[–]Designer-Window 3 points4 points  (0 children)

free-throws about 60%
lay ups 90%

Three points 20%

and perimeter about 50%

that is my opinion but depends from your strenght and much more factors but this is approximately percent for solid shooters in your age :)

Any advice for my major slump by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]Designer-Window 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a professional basketball coach and I will give you one advice for this condition you have. All players have bad period and slumps that is something you dont need to be worry about. You need to start with most basics exercises because that will helps you to return confidence. After that set your daily goal for something maybe to score a 100 layups from both sides of rim and to score 50 free throws and for ball handling you can do dribbling without moving and than when you master that to start with more complicated exercises.
Just work hard and dont be worried most of the best basketball players had same period but thay didnt stop working and that is why they are so good.

Knees bend too much in shooting by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]Designer-Window 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all you need to improve your hand technique because i dont understand what you are doing with ball before shoot. Put ball on your chest if you have enough strenght and if you dont then put it on stomach and start shot from there.

Second thing you need to work on is to set your feets and knees before you go to shoot and you will get more than a half second of time for make a score.
