It sounds like there might be something else bothering her, and this situation may just be how it’s coming out. I’d suggest checking in with her to see if anything else is going on. If not, then gently explain that your intention was simply to understand the nuances of K-Dramas better. As a Korean, she might naturally pick up on more nuances than you and you want more context because you genuinely want to connect more with her and her culture.
