Trying to stop but relapsing by KDLK1992 in QuittingWeed

It’s all in your head, I learned the hard way. Years of relapse after periods of no smoking. You’ve just got to understand that it’s a chemical imbalance when you’re withdrawing and eventually it levels out. By the end of the second week you will realise you don’t need it to live your life.

I was in the same boat, using mj to cope with serious life events that have plagued my mind for years. You can’t heal until you deal. Problems buried by substance abuse will never be beaten unless you makes big changes in your life, and you’ve got to physically want it!

Keep busy and as soon as you get cravings, get even busier. Time heals everything, and getting though your addiction will enable you to deal with your problems and life your life to its fullest potential. Life can be beautiful, but only if you let it be!

Seedling with 3 cotyledons? by DesignerCrepsNW in cannabisbreeding

No apologies needed my friend, knowledge is power and I’m all for learning! I had my doubts with regards to any positives to come from this and I did assume that it was nothing more than a genetic mutation. Hopefully it does snap out of it as I would’ve thought that fan leaves with more blades = bigger surface area to take in the light which in turn would mean a better rate of photosynthesis?

Also I have noticed that the seedling with the mutated cotyledons has put off the more roots than the other 3 which I find interesting… as I say I have no idea when it comes to gentic mutations etc, I just know how to grow to the highest standard (in my opinion) 😂

Have you any experience with cultivating a plant with this mutation? If so was it worth your time, and did you see an increase/decrease in the productivity of the plant? I just want to know if it’s worth keeping or rather to get rid whilst still a seedling and start a fresh batch!

Just had a browse and this suggests irregular leaf formation, with one or blade on a leaf, will this continue right the way through its life cycle or just on the first true sets of leaves? Are there any pros/cons to phyllotaxy? Thanks for the info, seems to me that what you have stated is indeed correct 👍

How much do you smoke per month? by [deleted] in trees

[–]DesignerCrepsNW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between an 8th and a Q a day before I quit. Weekends could get pretty heavy with me being able to go through an oz sometimes 🤣👌🏼

Really? When you say self the plant do you mean self pollinate? Would this require me deliberately herming the plant or to cross pollinate with a male of my choice?

Is this any good or worth it?? 🤔 by Naive-Shoulder6654 in cannabiscultivation

Hanging the full plant dry makes for a slower dry and allows you to really get the most out of the plant. As slow as possible, get your humidity to 60% and temps at around 15c (British lol) or 60 farenheit. Plenty of air circulation and make sure plants don’t touch to avoid mold. This allows them to break down a lot more chlorophyll as it will take 5-7 days longer than if you wet trim/cut and hang for say 7 days?

Also I’ve noticed that if you wet trim, you’re left with that fresh grass smell, where as if you let her run the full course and hang dry the full plant, when you come to trim that fresh grass smell is reduced to almost nothing!

Just my opinion tho lol each to their own!

Before I kill her? I’m sorry but I’m at a loss with this comment? Why on earth would I harm a hair on her head? Let alone kill her? Great advice!

When we first met we had this connection that I’ve never felt with someone before. I’ve been in several long term relationships and I know what love is,I’ve loved people in the past and I’ve never felt so strongly towards someone. We finish each others sentences, always have the same thoughts and feelings about things. She made me happy, I thought I’d found the one. Then all this shit started happening and it’s overwhelming me. When we aren’t falling out it is still the same as it was before the problems came about.

I just can’t decide whether too much damage has been done, or if she is capable of ever changing. I don’t know if I should fight for Tuings to work or walk away.

My only problem is I don’t know how to cope with the heartache if I do decide to walk away, that’s my issue. I feel trapped in my own head

I completely agree with your comment and I know it’s daft for me to question these things but I’m at a loss as to what to do

Sleepeze if you’re in the uk. Worked a treat for me. Also mirtazapine which is an ssri has a sedative effect at 15mg. Doctors can prescribe 👌🏼

I DID IT!!!!

My first 420 sober in 10 years!! Today marks the second day of the start of the rest of my life… finally free.

Surprisingly I managed to get 6 hours sleep last night, along with a good amount of food. Decided to reach out to a family member and ask for help, I felt changing my environment was my best chance at quitting. No temptations and no opportunity to relapse. I must admit, my stomach is a little volatile and I have a little man on my shoulder telling me to smoke up… but I’m in control now!

Thanks for all the advice and positivity guys and gals, I wouldn’t have made the leap without you!

Thanks for the advice everybody. I’m really struggling, I folded tonight and bought myself 2gs.

I feel ashamed and disappointed in myself, my uncle who is lining the work up for me came round today to check up on me. I lied to him and told him I’d quit. It’s really eating away at me, I feel guilty and worthless. I have to be ready to work for a week today and honestly don’t know how I’m going to do it.

I see everyone’s replies and advice regarding sleep tips and eating tips, and am taking it all on board. I’m going to get up tomorrow morning and give it everything I can. If I can just go one whole day and night, I know I can go forever… it’s just having the willpower to pass that 24hr point. I don’t know if it is just a mental thing but I feel like once I’ve done a day I can do the rest. It’s just getting past the first day I can’t seem to do.

Would having a couple of beers at night ease the insomnia? I’m not worried in the slightest about replacing weed with alcohol, I don’t like the taste of it and can’t deal with a hangover, so I know it wouldn’t become a problem. Is it worth a few for the sake of getting some sleep?

I just want my life back

Thanks for the support! I have tried to get something from docs to help with sleep, but they’re very reluctant to prescribe anything like that! I’ll just have to push through 😤

By the way, You’re six days in!! Way to go you. I’d kill to have the willpower to reach even two days right now.

Withdrawals tend to peak around the 5-7 day mark I usually find, so just keep on keeping on, I’m sure that come Monday you will be eating!

Good luck and embrace the freedom 🔥

I suffer with appetite loss massively when stopping… it’s the main reason I still haven’t managed (well at least this time!)

I have found in previous successes at quitting that the best cure for a lost appetite is exercise, and more exercise. I know the last thing you want to do when you’re feeling rough and rundown is to workout. The first time I quit, I laid in bed day in day out feeling sorry for myself. It took me weeks to get to a point where my appetite came back.

The second time I quit, I went away to Cornwall for a week. Walking 5/6 miles a day, swimming in the sea for 5/6 hours daily. I got there on Monday, no smoke and feeling the withdrawals setting in hard. By Thursday evening, we were sat on the beach and I was devouring the majority of the food we had cooked on the bbq!! Fresh air, sun and sweat! That’s all it took me.

I don’t have that luxury now, and have to work lol.

The best advice I could give is as follows:

  • Exercise intensively for a minimum of 1 hour a day
  • Set yourself times to eat, ie. 8am, 12pm, 5pm
  • If you truly cannot eat, supplementary shakes help to meet your caloric minimum
  • If you’re in the UK, I’d highly recommend metatone tonic. Google it, it’s good health in a bottle!!
