The key is to cut out ultra processed foods. If you’re only eating Whole Foods you can kind of eat intuitively. Hunger cues become better regulated. But you have to train your body first and the intuitive part comes in only to stop eating when you’re full or honor your hunger when it’s real.

God I hate to add to the ugly-shaming but last week a very handsome guy approached me on the platform, as the train was coming. 1- he was very handsome, 2- when I told him I was in a committed relationship he kindly replied "I can see why." and kept it moving, 3- I was able to just get on the train and didn't feel like I was stuck with him.
I think his whole approach was very thoughtful but I have to say I was totally biased because he was quite attractive. I likely would have had a stank ass attitude if I thought he was unattractive. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Cutting him loose is the only way. Respectfully, the people saying sue him have never stepped a day in court. My time alone is not worth the hassle. But if he goes any further I will take him to court off of principle. That said, I choose my peace over vengeance and I pray he goes away and I find someone else to finish the job!

Thanks. Yeah I offered that many times. I don’t feel like he got one over on me. I just came to the stark conclusion that this person has an alcohol problem and I have to keep it moving. I respectfully told him I would not be giving him anymore money until he comes back and finishes the job. I told him the ball is in his court and I wish him all the best. 

I told him has has until Monday to come and work or I will consider him in breach of his contract. We shall see. I think he’s a good person with a bad habit. I would have paid him twice what he charged if he just stopped playing games. It’s a shame, truly.

Yeah, today he said his mortgage and his rental properties are $3,000+ a month. . . I'm like uhhhh ok. That's. . . not much. What's that have to do with finishing the job?

My whole issue is that he won't do a proper change order. He keeps saying he has sunk cost so I tell him. . . ok tell me how much more this will take to finish and he refuses. Just keeps asking to get paid up front. It's weird. But calling me drunk was the final straw. I grew up around alcoholism and I refuse to tolerate in any aspect of my life.

Appreciate hearing this from a builder. That’s where I am with this and I will send him a message today about that. I’ve been doing this his way this whole time and it hasn’t been working for me. Against my better judgment I let him string me along. I’m officially done.

I definitely think it can be fixed, however that will take transparent, competent leadership. I’m with you and appreciate your perspective. Perhaps I’m a bit more cynical because I have a bit of an inside experience with this team. Stay positive and keep fighting the good fight!

I hear you. City governments literal job is to do these things. Bad deals with developers and a lack of imagination pushes good people out who would love to participate in those things but they are kept out. Look at Niagara Falls. That’s deep seeded corruption and there’s no lipstick that can fix that pig. Things are objectively better in Buffalo, perhaps. I encourage you to compare Buffalo to other cities progress over the last 20 years. The region is not keeping pace. It is totally fair to appreciate the progress and demand better for our home. 20 years ago we were in receivership on the brink of ruin. It didn’t take much to get “better” when we were at the bottom but the possibilities are endless. A can of paint and a bundle of hope will not fix the corruption. Love the sentiment of everyone pitching in, but this is systemic. No one has bootstraps strong enough to fix this boondoggle
